I love everything about this Hotel. The service is excellent, the food is outstanding, the bathrooms are huge and ultra clean, the beds are comfortable, the water pressure is unbelievable and there is even leadlight windows in the rooms. Not to mention the free minibar. I highly recommend this beautiful old pub!

Room 1 was really comfortable and spacious for a four-night stay. Had everything we needed, loved the bath and stocked mini-bar! Close walk to everywhere we wanted to visit. Great coffee at Elementary around the corner and the central market is just a block away. Staff were so lovely checking us in and answering any questions. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended - great place to stay!

Excellent large room, recently renovated and very well appointed. Complimentary snacks and drinks from the minibar was a nice bonus. Great central location, just 1 street from the Central Market and 2 blocks from the tram and main street. Had a beer and steak in the pub/restaurant downstairs and they were also excellent. Highly recommended.

Loved the vibe. Loved the decor. The bedroom was a good size and the hotel provided free drinks and some snacks, which was a nice touch. The bathroom was awesome, beautiful and lovely and large. Although the bedroom was near the buzz of the bar, the noise had stopped by around 10 pm and it didn’t cause any issues.

The room was very comfortable and clean, with nice inclusions like complimentary snacks and drinks. Check in and out was very easy and staff were super friendly. It's easy to walk to anywhere in the city from here. It was very noisy however on Friday and Saturday night outside throughout the night so luckily we brought earbuds and it didn't impact us too much.

A great night's stay

An impressively maintained old hotel. Room was spacious with attractive idiosyncratic light fittings. Bathroom with 2 sinks, large bath and shower recess was very well maintained. Although the bar was busy at the time of my arrivial the staff greeted me pleasantly, and was escorted to the room assigned, primarily to explain the security features of the accommodation area, and verandah.

Spacious, comfortable, clean room, some noise

Spacious, comfortable, clean room, with funky design touches. Airconditioner was loud and needing service so we couldn't leave it on overnight. The room is surprisingly quiet given the location, but be aware that inevitably some noise from the bar and music downstairs will be heard, bring earplugs if this will be a problem. Very handy location for the bus terminal across the road.
