It is on the opposite side of the island, Depending on traffic, a 90 - 150 minute drive. $115 taxi drive. You can get a 3 day tourist bus pass for 1 franc (a bus ride is 4 francs) but the busses stop running at 4:00 local time. "We very much enjoyed our stay at Fare Arihau Vairoo. The room was lovely and comfortable. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming and took care of us as though we were family. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. All the food was prepared by our host from local ingredients mostly grown in their own garden. All the food was exceptional and the service, some from our hosts little girls, was delightful."

"The view from this property was breathtaking. Beautiful villa and pool, very spacious, great location. The host Thierry and his wife are amazing. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and are very responsive if you need anything. I highly recommend Villa Paradise Tahiti. Just the view alone is worth it!!"

"This is one of the most unique properties we have ever stayed in. Snuggled against the lush mountain side with a spectacular view of the lagoon, the Vanira Lodge is a must if in the Teahupoo area. We stayed here in 2015 and it was magical. We were so excited to be back and it was just as magical as the first time. Merci!"

"We enjoyed every bit of our stay here. The property was beautiful and we really appreciated being able to use the SUP and snorkel equipment. Great snorkeling right out the door! The host was very accommodating and responsive to any questions we had. We loved the open air common spaces, The bedroom layout worked perfect for our family and the A/C units in the 3 main bedrooms kept the sleeping temperatures very comfortable. We loved visiting the nearby park and beach and available food trucks next door. This was a perfect place to start our trip before traveling to other islands."

"Overall a nice place to stay with a few caveats. Easy check-in with the keys on the counter and quick response by email. We stayed in Aura where two rooms have AC and one does not - was not a problem for our stay. The third room has a fan. The rooms have plenty of open shelf space for clothes.The deck overlooking the lagoon and private pool were favorites. There was a nice breeze during our stay. Bring bug spray though (as with most places on island). It would have been nice to have hand towels and wash clothes, not just bath and beach towels. Also, some hooks in the bedroom to hang up towels or clothes. The shower has body wash and shampoo; some shelves for personal washing supplies would be helpful. There was a lot of roof noise one particular night from what we think were birds collecting seeds from the tree overhead. Our neighbors didn't have the same foilage so this may be specific to our Villa. It bothered some of us more than others, so if you are a light sleeper, the islands of Tahiti in general can be noisy with dogs, roosters and other wildlife. The WiFi worked well but we had to request the password. This proved difficulty since we had spotty personal service. There were chocolates left for us at check-in which was a nice welcome. Thank you for sharing your Villa with us."
