"The Akelarre hotel is very well connected with the airport and Santiago city center through a bus which runs very regularly. We had a great stay at Akelarre Hotel and found its location to be perfect for our travel needs while exploring the area. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Guests with walking disabilities or carrying heavy luggage need to be aware thar Mr. Alfonso was very helpful, kind and provided us very useful information."

"Beautiful hotel right as you enter Portimarin on the Camino . We were made very welcome by Sylvia . Our room was spotless ( as was the hotel ) , comfortable bed and lovely room - quiet enough to get a great nights sleep. Breakfast was buffet style and just enough before we set off on our travels . Coffee excellent. I would definitely recommend here ."

"I was the only person staying at this hotel which was a bit disconcerting as it really is in thr middle of nowhere - about 1.3 km off the camino. But it is excellent. The staff could not have been nicer, and more accommodating. Even though i was the only person staying, they still put out the full dinner and breakfast buffet. I was treated like a king! If you want somewhere truly rural, a bit off the camino (i walked back to it the next day in 25 mins), this is an interesting, unique, peaceful place. Tamara who works there cooks, cleans, does reception - everything. She is a star."
