Inserted in the tropical cloud forest, this place is magic. The Toro Amarillo river taints the stones orange and gives a constant roaring, the congos haul to contrast with the crickets and cicada's background rhythm. But most of the healing comes from the hot, yellowish mineral spring water pool, alternating with the very cold, crystal clear spring water. While the cabins are rustic, the staff are all wonderful. We will come back for another “forest bathing”, and perhaps a zip-line adventure....

This is a real jungle lodge with an incredible number of animals and a fun drive up the mountain to amazing sunrise views.

It was a wonderful experience. This place is unique....if you enjoy nature this is the place to stay. Their rainforest is awesome for birdwatching ,wildlife enjoyment and they have the longest hanging bridge in the country. Their food is very good and you can enjoy a free breakfast included with their very reasonable price!!!

The hotel is located on top of a mountain with great expansive views. Its very cool at night but warm during the day. The cabins are cozy but have cooking facilities. The pool is refreshing. Javier does a great job making guests feel comfortable. Breakfasts were included and very tasty. There's a lot to do in the area. Poas Volcano, Grecia, and Sarchi is closer. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing hotel, the property was beautiful and there are trails for you to explore through the jungle. The rooms were simple and rustic, not too fancy which is exactly what we were looking for. The staff, including Diego, is extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. Would not hesitate to go back!

We were floored when we first saw the view and the room! It is so special and our first night was quiet and romantic. The grounds are gorgeous. The staff was exceptional! We only had a couple of complaints and when we had the complaints, the staff was eager to help in any way possible. We had an issue with our DVD player-which in our mind wasn't a huge deal because it's so fantastic there you don't really need movies, but we wanted to relax our last night and we couldn't get the DVD player to...

The rooms are basic, but you don't want to spend a lot of time there anyway. The feeling of being in the Garden of Eden draws you outside to the rushing little river, the dozens of hummingbirds zooming around the well-stocked feeders, the lovely grounds and the selection of hiking trails. The focus here is on conscious conservation and nature study and enjoyment, but the breakfast (included) was excellent and the dinner (extra) good. There are a couple of sodas in the village down the (very...

20 minutes away from Fortuna, the Finca Luna is truly and completely surrounded by the rainforest. All of the staff were very friendly and helped us organize tours nearby (we did whitewater rafting, ziplining, and the hot springs. Would recommend all of them). Food on the whole was incredible. The chocolate tour was great; we learned about the history of chocolate and even made our own! Would be interesting to most, I would guess. Included in the stay is a tour of the hotels farm where...

We enjoyed the cabin; it was perfect for our needs. It might have been nice to have a chair in the cabin. But we were able to sit at the restaurant tables and use the wifi there. so all our needs were met! Thank you !

Laguna de Largato Lodge is not for everyone, but for those who want to see the remote jungles of Costa Rica and exotic birds, this is the place for you. The location is pretty remote, a little over an hour on a dirt road. The rooms are pretty small with little amenities, but the wild life is amazing. They have a pole next to their balcony which they place bananas and it attacks all sorts of exotic birds. You can sit on the balcony in the early morning or late afternoon and see numerous birds...

Paradise. If you’re considering booking this hotel, do it, you won’t be disappointed! So much attention to detail throughout the entire property. I must have said ‘it’s just so pretty’ HUNDREDS of times. Lol. Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The property is gated, so you have a keycard to get back in. My husband can’t go to sleep without white noise, but you literally hear the river and birds (while being bug free and having great air conditioning) and this is the first time he’s been...

This place is an underappreciated gem. It lies on the banks of the Rio San Carlos with 24 individual cabins. The rooms are very spacious and nicely appointed. While the pictures show the cabins overlooking the river only around four or five of them actually do that. I spent three nights here in August, 2018. The property lies only 11 kilometers from the border with Nicaragua. This area is remote and very hot and humid and the cabins are not air conditioned but have a ceiling fan and a powerful...

This place is great There is nature all around. I very much enjoyed swinging in the hammock looking at nature. It is about a 30 minute walk to City center, but there are a few restaurants within 10 minutes. There is also a grocery store two minutes away There is an adventurous "river walk" on property that we enjoyed. The few cons were the breakfast wasn't the greatest for the price. Also the air conditioner weezed the last day... But we never notified them about it, so can't blame them for...

This review is only for the 3 bedroom villa. The villa was magnificient!!! Very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms that are clean and nicely modeled! There is a private swimming pool with a beautiful view the overlooking the mountains and city! This villa is right at the tip of the hiking trail to the Green Lagoon which was extremely convenient. This villa is a must stay if you are visiting Arenal!

Upon landing in Liberia, we drove over to La Fortuna for our first night stay in Brisas Arenal. the gravel road to the hotel was bumpy but thats why we rented a 4x4. the hotel personnel was very nice and helpful. The room was great, it had a jacuzzi and a nice terrace view to the volcano. I believe we were in room 3D. in the morning we headed to the breakfast area and ordered the typical costa rican dish which was very good. the hotel grounds were amazing, lots of tropical flowers, trees and...

We started our family Costa Rica trip in La Fortuna and decided to stay at Arenal Rustic Lodge. It was a perfect way to start the trip. The lodge is around 15 minutes from town. The family hosts were amazing and incredibly helpful. They offered great advice and were very accommodating. They let my daughters (age 11 and 13) feed the family's horse and they even took us on a hike of a local trail they are starting to develop. We stayed in cabin #5. It had plenty of room for our family of 4....

This is a really nice place, not so far from the volcano. The room is really clean, the garden around the houses is superb. During the breakfast there is a bird feeding session . I saw so many colourful birds and on my last morning I saw a sloth in the garden too. I would go back again
