"Stick with the resort food, the restaurants (dukes and cafe portifino are not great, especially at their prices) but the sushi on site and the bar restaurant are very good. The pool is beautiful, great beach access, luau was fun. Check out gaylords rum tour, best part of the trip!"

"Although the overall property was under construction, the room we had was perfect. The reclining couch was a nice touch. The only thing I wish we had was a microwave…although I don’t know if its lack was in control of the host or the property as a whole. We could walk right out of our room and to the beach in one minute…straight East so we had amazing sunrise views! Also, we left some souvenirs in our room and the cleaning lady contacted the host who contacted us and we were able to make a quick turn around and retrieve them! Jennifer rocks!"

"Entire hotel is under major renovation. Place simply should not be hosting tenants. There is no lobby and no quick access to pools / beach / rest of property / restaurants. The door locks didn’t even work and had to be changed before I entered. Host was very unresponsive and apathetic to the situation."

"The room has a Great ocean view. Incredible sunrises. The 3 pools were really nice and the resort staff were terrific. The room is a basic hotel room with 2 beds and a small refrigerator. It was fine.Unfortunately the resort was in the middle a major remodel. The lobby, lobby restaurant, lobby bar, laundromat, and weight room were unavailable. The only way to get to our wing of the resort was through a single elevator. That elevator had issues at times and we had to use the staff elevator in the kitchen. Not ideal."

"The hotel was under construction. We chose to spend our first three days out of the hotel due to the pounding and banging noises. The slide closed at 4 PM which was about the time we got back each day and the last day we were there we chose to stay at the resort and use the slide and pool. Unfortunately, the slide was closed during the times it was supposed to be open and nobody seemed to know why. Didn’t get to enjoy the slide at all during our stay. On the last night of our stay a fire alarm went off at 4:30 in the morning and all of the guests were standing outside in the rain. No explanation was given, and the checkout staff seemed to have no clue what I was talking about when I asked him if there actually was a fire. The beach was very rocky and we didn’t bother to walk far enough to find sand or waves to play it. The room was nice and we appreciated the dehumidifier. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the beach or the resort and won’t be back again."
