"Resort was great, 4-5 pools and a couple of hot tubs to choose from. Rooms are clean, there is some renovation being do r on the property so you will hear construction noise from time to time. Overall, we had a great experience."

"The Royal Sonesta Kaua'i has a beautiful property with a great pool and well-maintained grounds. The location is convenient, and the overall setting is relaxing. Unfortunately, the service and attention to detail didn't match the price. Several of the in-room amenities were incomplete or empty, including the sewing kit and other convenience items, which made the room feel overlooked. The biggest disappointment was the pool service. The security around the pool came across as overly aggressive at times, which took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. For a resort at this price point, I expected more attentive and welcoming customer service. Overall, the hotel itself is attractive, but the quality of the amenities and customer service fell short of expectations. For what you pay, I expected a more polished experience with better attention to detail and a higher level of hospitality."

"A quick drive to the harbor (good eats, beech, indoor mini golf & a lighthouse) and close to the airport, costco, target etc. we found it a good hub to drive to both ends of the island’s roads However, Lihue itself isnt really walkable and the north side (Hanalei) which has a cuter towny vibe and great food & drink is ~45 mins drive away. Not a ding but worth knowing up front"

"40 per day for the car park plus tax. Unfortunately, I paid more for parking than I did for the car rental. Newly renovated lobby and restaurant. Three pools we’re were lukewarm, perfect for an evening swim… nighttime ambience with waterfall, tiki torches, balmy air and soft island music makes for a romantic evening.Definitely will return."

"The lobby and lobby bar were very nice. The fire pit was fun at night. Our room had a spectular view. The gift shop was very nice, had plenty of nice gifts and supplies. The pina coladas were great. The property was under some needed renovation and repair, but it wasn't distracting. The beach was not very swimable due to the lava rocks, but still very beautiful and the sunrises were amazing. Last, but not least, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating."

"This place exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful and right on the ocean. Surf is rough but still can enjoy being on beach. If not, they have an amazing pool with waterfalls and water slides. They even have a salt water pool with sand. Restaurants onsite. Just a beautiful property and our stay was great. We hated to leave so soon. Didn’t get to enjoy as much as we wanted at the property."

"Great property, great resort. The owner Michael was accessible at all times for questions, very kind and considerate to our needs and went above and beyond to help when we made any requests. His space is well stocked with necessities that helped make everything easy breezy. Would rate him above and beyond, in a 1-10 rating we would give him a 15!"
