"Was good after we got the room moved to a room with a working AC."

"The first room that I paid for through Expedia and checked in was super hot they did not turn on the AC before we arrived so it was like 90°. We had three twin beds and one small AC. It was not acceptable so we asked if we can be moved. They moved us into a cottage which ended up costing 90 extra dollars for the night, but it had three small ACs And definitely was worth the upgrade for a better night sleep it was extremely hot and humid we was not able to get any of the amenities. I think all they offered was coffee anyways so it was about $300 for a night. It was OK. It looked like it was pretty close to several little restaurants but we did not go to them. We had other things on our agenda that we were doing. Next time I would pay a little extra and possibly have a pool and some other amenities for about the same price or a little bit more."

"Stick with the resort food, the restaurants (dukes and cafe portifino are not great, especially at their prices) but the sushi on site and the bar restaurant are very good. The pool is beautiful, great beach access, luau was fun. Check out gaylords rum tour, best part of the trip!"

"Entire hotel is under major renovation. Place simply should not be hosting tenants. There is no lobby and no quick access to pools / beach / rest of property / restaurants. The door locks didn’t even work and had to be changed before I entered. Host was very unresponsive and apathetic to the situation."

Not warned that the hotel was under construction. No easy access to pools. Not enough outlets for chargers. "

"The room has a Great ocean view. Incredible sunrises. The 3 pools were really nice and the resort staff were terrific. The room is a basic hotel room with 2 beds and a small refrigerator. It was fine.Unfortunately the resort was in the middle a major remodel. The lobby, lobby restaurant, lobby bar, laundromat, and weight room were unavailable. The only way to get to our wing of the resort was through a single elevator. That elevator had issues at times and we had to use the staff elevator in the kitchen. Not ideal."

"The hotel was under construction. We chose to spend our first three days out of the hotel due to the pounding and banging noises. The slide closed at 4 PM which was about the time we got back each day and the last day we were there we chose to stay at the resort and use the slide and pool. Unfortunately, the slide was closed during the times it was supposed to be open and nobody seemed to know why. Didn’t get to enjoy the slide at all during our stay. On the last night of our stay a fire alarm went off at 4:30 in the morning and all of the guests were standing outside in the rain. No explanation was given, and the checkout staff seemed to have no clue what I was talking about when I asked him if there actually was a fire. The beach was very rocky and we didn’t bother to walk far enough to find sand or waves to play it. The room was nice and we appreciated the dehumidifier. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the beach or the resort and won’t be back again."
