"The staff at Hotel Ruze were more than accomodating and kind. My partner uses a wheelchair and we were assisted every step of the way. And there were a lot of steps! Things that would have been helpful to know: the spa is downstairs, two sets of stairs. It’s gorgeous. The pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. The Thai massages were excellent. But had I known that it was not accessible, we would not have booked for the spa weekend. Hotel Ruze is old and it’s beautiful. Impeccibly decorated and clean. Staff were helpful with the brunch, but things run out, so get there early! Outside of brunch, there are no meals offered, but we were accomodated for dinner by their sister hotel in the town square. There is an elevator, but it is small and could not accomodate the wheelchair. My partner was able to park outside the elevator and walk onto the elevator with a cane. Our room had a step in, small, but still an obstacle. To get to the elevator for the rooms, there was a steep/small ramp to accomodate three steps. We needed help to do this, and staff were there to assist at all times. We were also privy to another, more accessible entrance, but had to get staff to access it each time. Overall, it’s a gorgeous hotel and staff are kind and accomodating. I do not recommend it for wheelchair users though! More information needs to be posted online so the folks know the spa is downstairs, without elevator access, and the hotel elevator is small and cannot accomododate adult sized wheelchairs."
