Needs a reboot!

The Clarion/Aiken a major facelift. I stayed here a couple of years ago, and even though I knew it's wasn't a high-end chain, it was clean and "fine". Everything about the property this time left the impression it's just scraping by. Time for an update and I wish them well.

I was disappointed because i was trying to book a room in Augusta Ga and the room have a hot tub. Which both were advertised in the ad is why I booked it. But it was 45 minutes from Augusta and room has no hot tub. I was pretty mad !!

This hotel desperately needs to be updated. The wallpaper, paint, carpet, etc. are visibly worn. The sheets were clean, and shower water was hot. This is a hotel with outside access rooms which is a little concerning. You can see the outside through the seal in the door and tenants outside can be easily heard. Will not stay here again.

Roaches in room, and was approached by 3 guys asking for $ or ride to their P.O. Its too bad because the hotel is near a nice plaza and area in Aiken.

Everything was alright with the exception of requiring guest to pay a $50 fee in case. Also the Breakfast has a sign that states No food can be removed from the area. If it is included what does it matter if you take it back to your room or to go?

Customer service at check-in was amazing. Desk clerk very friendly and nice. Housekeeping needs to be more attentive. Empty condom box in top of closet and a used condom on shelf in top of closet. Very embarrassing due to the fact that my 16 year old child was with me.

Good Cleaning Needed

We got there around 10:00pm. Staff was asleep on a couch in the lobby. There was a VERY loud party going on all over the hotel. Our room was right by the party and reeked of smoke. Front desk attendant then gave us another room on the opposite side of the hotel which also reeked of smoke. We didn't even stay but were thankfully refunded our money.

The nighttime receptionist was very friendly. The room was nice, large and clean. The bathroom was disgusting. The paint was peeling from the ceiling. The bathtub was stained with dirt and there was a large cockroach in it. I have a picture of it. The bathroom ruined my stay there and I warned my friends to stay away.
