"Amazing experience"

"The property itself was lovely, well maintained and in a fantastic location, which we really appreciated. However, the self-service check-in was quite disappointing. We did not receive any arrival instructions by email, and there was no one available on-site to assist us. After some time, a cleaner kindly stepped in to help, although it was clear this was outside her usual responsibilities, and the language barrier made things a bit challenging for both sides. We stayed for two nights, and on both evenings we witnessed multiple guests experiencing the same issue; it was quite unpleasant, especially knowing we weren’t in a position to assist."

"I liked everything about the hotel and especially the staff of the restaurant bar area, I guess its called the Bookmakers Bar. The ladies and gents that work that bar are fantastic! I would mention there names but I don't want to forget anyone. I stayed there for 5 days at the hotel and it was one of the best choices I have made on this trip. This is my fifth time to Dublin and its on my top 2 list. It was great speaking to them all and they were extremely nice and friendly. I ate there practically every night. The menu was good, but to be honest, not sure why it wasn't a bigger list. One thing I pointed out to them is the pasta bolognese should be on the adult menu. I ordered it off the kids menu but it was well enough for an adult with a big appetite. The food was excellent and so were the drinks. I will be back for sure. Also, the coffee lounge in the middle of the lobby is a great idea and was comfortable enough to use my computer and people watch. I spent a few hours every day there and the crew there were very accommodating. I would suggest if you want a good experience each night, don't go there when a convention is going on, that is there main focus which is unfortunate for the regular patron."

"The room felt quite luxurious, decorated in a really pretty way with smart wallpaper, a warm cosy feeling - lovely comfy bed, full length mirror, little touches like loo roll folded over into a point and tea and coffee refreshed daily. It was also all really clean and well kept and very quiet. The powerful shower had a waterfall shower as well as a regular one. It is in a quiet and quite well off neighbourhood, with 2 Tesco extras, Donnybrook Fair luxury food shop (great for buying a cheap daily sandwich on the way in to town), place for a full Irish breakfast or a trendy hipster cafe, and a pub all within 4 minutes walking distance. There are more than 3 buses into town from bus stop 2 minutes away - takes around 15 - 20 minutes. I didn't meet the owner but the cleaner was really sweet and kind. There is a lounge where you can eat a takeaway meal which saved on costs. I had a pizza from a restaurant 5 minutes away. I highly recommend it, its also (incredibly) cheaper than some of the mass market/ soulless type hotels in the centre. I would stay here again if I visited Dublin in the future."

"It was a great location, although it’s outside the main stream Dublin it is so easy to get around via bus or train. The apartment was nice and spacious and it was great to have a full size oven with four burner hob. The kitchen/dining/living room combo was great. Having the washer & dryer in suite was great. The bed was quite firm which worked for me but challenged my husband, but that’s all a personal preference. The welcome starter items were fantastic. Coffee, tea, milkers, sugar, laundry pods, foil, paper towel, dish soap, olive oil and I know there’s more I’ve missed."

"For a four-star hotel, the property is beginning to show signs of wear and would benefit from a refurbishment. That said, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. My main issue was with the evening meal. I had a prawn salad to start and beef featherblade for the main. Unfortunately, the prawn salad was poor — the prawns were heavily coated in Marie Rose sauce that appeared to have separated. I felt unwell the following day, which I suspect may have been linked, although I cannot say for certain. The featherblade was also disappointing. It was overcooked, very tough, and the gristle had not broken down as expected. After a few bites, I returned the dish and asked for it to be removed from the bill. Given the experience, I chose not to have breakfast the next morning. Overall, while the staff were pleasant, the hotel would benefit from both a refresh of the décor and improvements in food quality and consistency."
