"Ideal location for exploring the coastal paths and villages outside Dublin. Spent obligatory time in Dublin centre too, travelling by taxi and the dart. Breakfast was very good, staff friendly and knowledgable. Would definitely stay again."

"Beautiful hotel! Food was lovely, room was so nice. Only issue was that you can hear the pumping of music and taxis outside beeping etc when picking up people from the clubs. Apart from that, we would return."

"I had a wonderful 5 day stay here recently. Marie helpfully answered all my questions ahead of the visit. Then she greeted me warmly with tea and biscuits upon arrival which was so appreciated after a long day of travel. Marie had offered to store my bags for free on the day of check in but then it wasn't necessary because my room was ready early which was an amazing surprise. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful. I loved it and instantly felt at home. It was the lovely pink room at the front of the house with a huge bay window. The shower pressure was fantastic. The little kitchen space nearby was great too. It had a microwave, extra dishes and cutlery and some breakfast foods and fruit. I also did my laundry there for €20, Marie helped me a lot with it since I wasn't familiar with the machine and she also kindly supplied the soap. The location was a 4 minute walk to a busy busy stop and a 9-10 minute walk to several other bus stops too which made it easy to get anywhere I needed to go. There was also a good sized grocery store very close by that I went to almost daily, so helpful. And several restaurants nearby too. I can't say enough nice things about this hotel and the great service from Marie. I would love to stay here again some day! Thanks so much Marie for an amazing stay!"

The Uppercross House Hotel

The Uppercross House Hotel

8/10 Good
"Good hotel in a really good location. The three highlights for me were the location, the free parking, and the free breakfast. Rathmines is a nice spot to stay with lots of good pubs and restaurants within a short stroll. Parking is expensive and difficult to find in Rathmines so it was really nice to have a spacious car park to use. The cooked breakfast was substantial and really nice. The only negative comments I can make are that the hotel looks a little bit old fashioned in some respects (furniture, carpets etc). I would stay there again and recommend it to others."
