The staff are all very nice but Mary at the front desk is very friendly and helpful - and she does this in four languages. She is a large part why we had such a great stay."

"We had a lovely family holiday at Villa Penelope. The villa was exceptionally clean and cleaned twice during our week long stay. We loved the pool area, outside seating and the amazing views. The villa is split into two three bedroom apartments and this worked well for our party of 11. There was everything we needed and our host was very responsive when we had any questions. You do need a car as there is very little within walking distance but we found some lovely restaurants a short drive away. Overall we all loved our stay and would stay again!"

"Amazing, spacious villa with all the facilities you could wish for. Welcome pack in the fridge and the stock of other essential items, such as washing up liquid, toilet rolls etc, was an extra nice touch. The villa was very clean and a thorough midway clean was carried out during our stay. Mr Solonas was fantastic; discrete but attentive and addressed and questions/issues we had quickly and effectively. Kalathas beach is beautiful. It is not far to walk but the uphill walk back to the villa in the heat of the day is not for faint hearted. Great supermarkets, restaurants and other areas to explore are close by but would definitely recommend having a hire car. During our stay the other villa within the gated grounds was not in use so we had an incredibly private space to enjoy. Thank you so much we really had a wonderful stay at the villa. "

"Another great stay an Aloni! Rental car necessary if you want to travel about otherwise great place to chill by the pool. Kalathas beach 5 mins drive is best for miles around. All staff so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of area. Only 15 mins from airport but didn't notice the planes. 25 mins drive from Chania town - parking hard in the evening but until 4pm ok. Amazing sunset from apartments and pool area every evening over the peninsula to the west."

"Fabulous! Located on Akrotiri peninsula where Chania airport is. Therefore, ideal for Chania airport and brilliant for convenient airport transport. Nanakis Beach Apartments were utterly brilliant helping with the airport transport to the apartments. Our taxi driver from the airport was the best in the entire universe! We arrived late and the key was in our apartment door with excellent instructions re how to locate our apartment. The utterly lovely Blue Flag beach and cove of Stavros is a few minutes away. There are two old bicycles for guests to take to go shopping at the mini market on the small road gently down to Stavros beach and cove with some delightful tavernas there. We found the bikes a miracle and great fun! However, this location is clearly most suited to travelers with a car. Nonetheless, we enjoy travelling without the worry of a car and it is possible without a car. Best if you don't mind booking your taxi, ideally, a day in advance. "
