Valentin Son Bou
8/10 Good
"Son Bou itself is quiet with a number of restaurants- it was ok as we were only here 4 nights but I think if you were staying for 10 days / 2 weeks there wouldn’t be enough choice. The hotel is located at the top of a hill above Son Bou. It is walkable but the hotel lay on a regular shuttle bus to and from Son Bou which is really great. We had a Superior Balcony room which i believe had been refurbished. The room was clean, comfy bed. The shower was good. Our air conditioning didn’t work brilliantly but reception staff were very helpful and sent a technician to look at it. Two things we didn’t like: There is an in room safe but it costs 3 euro a day to use it - this was waived for us but it’s really not acceptable to be charging to use a safe in the room. Also pool towels are 1 euro if you want clean ones! This is poor. If you want a hotel in a quiet location, with pool and evening entertainment then this may be ok for you. This isn’t what we enjoy therefore we wouldn’t return. However staff are extremely pleasant and helpful."
Aparthotel Nelva Resort
8/10 Good
"We (myself and five young adults) spent six nights here in early September 2026. The resort is small and pretty, the bar and pool were beautifully kept, and it was incredibly peaceful. The staff were all lovely - unobtrusive but always there if you needed something. The apartments are 5 mins from the supermarkets and bars - though while they advertise a 6 minute walk to beach, I would say 15 minutes due to the area being hilly and lots of steep steps. The beach is absolutely stunning when you get to it though, with white sand and clear warm sea. The one thing that let this holiday down was the apartment. While mainly clean, with a decent sized living area, newish kitchen cupboards and all you needed for food prep, it was in dire need of refurbishment. The two tiny bathrooms were grim. In the main one, you had to sit on the toilet sideways to fit! The glass on the shower was not positioned correctly so on every use the water completely flooded the bathroom, which made it smell. There was black mould all over the silicone and shower head. You could barely get inside the other bathroom and shut the door. There was hot water, but not much. The extractor fans sounded like jet engines when the lights were on - and you couldn’t turn them off, which meant disturbed nights for all. Beds comfy but bedroom doors didn’t shut unless slammed. No surfaces to put things on. The kids didn’t mind as very similar to their grubby student accommodation - however, I expected slightly better."
Apartamentos Son Bou Gardens
8/10 Good
"Apartment was very clean and in a good location, approx 5/10 mins walk from local beach. Use of the pool is free however sunbeds are €4 each. Lots of parking, not sure on local transport. Would recommend."
