"We had a nice stay at Château Gütsch. The highlight of the hotel is undoubtedly the spectacular view from the terrace, which overlooks Lucerne, the lake and the surrounding mountains. It’s the main reason to stay here and it’s truly breathtaking, especially in the evening.
Our room was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was much appreciated during the hot weather. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice selection.
One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its location. Although it sits on top of the hill, getting to the city centre is incredibly easy thanks to the private Gütsch funicular, which takes you down to the centre in just a couple of minutes.
The only aspect of our stay which could be better was dinner at the hotel restaurant. While the setting and views are beautiful, the food itself was fairly average and didn’t quite match the standard we expected from a hotel of this calibre.
If you’re looking for a hotel with unforgettable panoramic views, and easy access to the city, Château Gütsch is an excellent choice."
