Very nice hosts with great food and wonderful breakfast. Fresh-squeezed orange and grapefruit juices, fresh cut fruit salad.

This place was absolutely wonderful. Clean and comfortable, beautiful surroundings and our hosts couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. Great breakfast, too. Close to many villages as well as Sarlat, without being in the thick of the city. Would definitely stay there again if I return.

The staff was very welcoming and more than helpful. When we found ourselves in a bind because we needed fuel and the only service stations open were automated (which don't accept American credit cards), the hostess went with us and used her personal credit card to get us on the road again. (We paid her back with cash.)

We stayed 2 nights. The chateau hotel was beautifully decorated and surrounded by lush landscaping. The service was excellent. The room was clean and quiet. The air freshener that was sprayed in the room and throughout the hotel was a little too strong. Parking was free. Although we enjoyed the breakfast, we felt that it was mediocre for a luxury hotel. The location was convenient to drive to Sarlat, Marqueyssac garden, etc.

Beautiful niche hotel in a quiet town in the lovely Perigord region. Centrally located with easy daytime excursions to the various places of interest. Hotel offers everything you need, parking, quiet, excellent restaurant, knowledgeable concierge and a spacious room and bath, even a large balcony. Only downside was that no restaurant in town would open for dinner before 7pm. But when they open, the food is fantastic.

A lovely family-run hotel that has a warm and joyful vibe. The owners, their little girl serving tables on a busy night, absolutely everyone made me feel welcomed and cared for. As a vegetarian, the very kind owners prepared dishes suitable to my diet. The swimming pool was clean, refreshing and set in a serene setting. Even the guests were friendly and courteous. Great place tucked away with all the dordogne towns quickly accessible by car. Loved the property and pool. Paul and Marilou are exceptional mangers of the property.

Place fantastique, tranquille, super bien aménagé pour un séjour parfait! Merci à Nelly & Franck pour l'acceuil, la joie de vivre et pour les multiple conseils. Sans oublier Meg qui nous a fait joué a la balle sur la terasse. Nous revenons avec de beaux souvenirs!

We had such a wonderful stay at La Sarlamandre. Our hosts, Stéphy and Séb were so kind and welcoming from the start. The rooms are very clean and feel brand new. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and cake. Everything was so perfect and their attention to detail made our stay so comfortable. We really felt at home. We were so sad to leave and wish we could’ve stayed longer! Merci beaucoup!

Just an amazing place! The rooms are perfectly decorated, beds heavenly, great pool. Dinner is better than anywhere around. Marlin, the owner, gave us good suggestions of the places in the area to visit. We loved Josephine Baker's castle, don't miss that.

Beautiful location overlooking Sarlat valley. Peaceful property and exquisite restaurant. Very nice staff and well-maintained hotel. Very quick access to Sarlat town.
