In decades of staying in hostels around the world, I've never encountered such unfriendly staff. Specifically, the young woman with straight pulled-back hair ignored me; worse, the older short gray haired kitchen woman several times barked at me for opening the communal fridge to put and take out my food. On the third instances, I shouted at her to at least say 'please' (in Russian). I felt self-conscious ever after in the kitchen when she was there. There was no instruction about entry access codes. The lodgers weren't unfriendly, just not friendly - perhaps inspired by the hostel's insolent attitude.
The single yurt advertised on hotel.com was closed, and grown-over and had not been used in a long time. The listing needs to be updated. The yurt bunk was occupied on the lower level by a Russian who watched videos 24/7 and only got up to smoke and pee. I had my bunk changed to indoors where, at least, it was lights-out after 11pm
The location and price couldn't be beat and, though I would never stay there because of these hostile hostel-women, it was a convenient spot and I did enjoy finally cooking in the communal kitchen as long was witch-babushka was not around.
