"The King's Little Pathway" spans the El Chorro gorge at a height of 100m. It was built in the early 1900s as an access path between nearby hydroelectric plants. The bridge got it's name in 1921 when King Alfonso XIII crossed it to help inaugurate a new dam.

The path rises to the bridge from either side of the gorge, snaking dramatically along the sheer cliff face. In recent years the path has been closed to all but rock-climbers, as many portions of the pathway had crumbled away.

However, the Spanish government recently completed a three-year restoration of the pathway, including guardrails, and it just opened yesterday - March 28, 2015! The 6€ entrance fee will be waived for the first six months, but you'll need to make reservations in advance: http://bit.ly/1BzhH8Y. Also, bear in mind that the path is one-way, so check the return bus schedule, or book a return crossing as well!

Location of the villa is fabulous , The kitchen was small for the size of the property, it lacked utensils to cook for a large number. No bbq utensils ( I bought some from the shop so we could occasionally cook) The TVs that we’re listed in every room some of the cables were even long enough to plug in. We also got a shock that we had to pay for the electric we used when there and nor have I noticed...

"A large spacious villa which was a great size for our group of 2 families. The villa was clean and well equipped and the pool and gardens were a lovely space to enjoy the sun. The villa has a fantastic terrace with a lovely view towards the coast. Definitely need a car and recommend taking up the offer of meeting Lilia at the local gas station and being guided down for the first time. Lilia the host was very responsive and helpful. "Great location. Walking distance to the main shopping and dinning area in Torremolinos. Bed was super comfy! Check in staff (I think her name was Catherine) was so lovely and friendly and helpful with all my questions. No fridge or kettle, but amazing buffet breakfast until 1pm!! I had a Seaview room. Lovely to sit on balcony at the end of the day. Get down early to the pool if you want a sun bed!!"

"I loved my stay at Las Rampas. It was a very beautiful and pleasant time, the hotel has so much character and feels premium in other ways. The best part honestly was the location. The close proximity to the beach, shops, cafes, restaurants, bus & train stations, was well alone worth the stay.
