At Alp Grum beyond Lago Bianco there is a hotel with restaurant & buffet. The Bernina Express halts here for around 15minutes while the engine is changed for the steep drop from here down into Northern Italy. We have time to enjoy the scenery and the amazing crisp, clear mountain air at 7000ft.

"Beautiful hotel in the middle of St Moritz. Close to everything, except the train. Although they provide transportation to the train station, so that was wonderful! Staff was so nice and accommodating. They helped us with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The rooftop bar was a great place to reset and admire the view. Wonderful place to stay! "

"Very clean room, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pizza at the restaurant was excellent with a nice thin crust. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, fresh, and delicious. I believe you could order eggs and I heard someone order pancakes so there are options besides the buffet. Overall a very nice hotel and I would stay here again. "
