"I would call this location “rustic.” There’s a certain amount of charm associated with it but there were certain things that needed upgrading or fixing. The bathroom was tiny and if you were disabled, stepping down into the shower recess would be an issue. Sitting on the toilet required some manoeuvering and you could lean your forehead on the wall when finally positioned. The wash basin was dirty and needed a good scrub. The room absolutely needs more power outlets. The front door wouldn’t stay closed without a shove or two to engage the lockset. I did not see any staff at all and the check in was at the Holland Hotel downtown. On the good side, the bed was comfortable and I slept well."

"The room was clean but in need of some repair. I understand the hotel is doing a remodel on the first floor but not having access to the elevator should not be allowed. I had a lot of heavy gear I had to carry upstairs to my room, and the workers had all the luggage carriers covered in tile boxes, so they were not useable for the customers. I talked about this to the lady at the front desk who was not helpful or apologetic at all. I have stayed at many Holiday Inn's in the past, all good experiences, this was not a good experience at all. "
