Only thing we think could improve is the massage services can always be better, and have more diverse offerings with varied therapist that are more confident. The other thing was that the room service was always great but even tho there was moments we didn’t want anybody in the room they still came in to clean up… Overall it was amazing!!!"

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Peneda-Gerês National Park. Sao Bento was a fantastic location for exploring the park and trails in the surrounding area. The hotel is a short 10-15-minute drive to Campo do Geres, where we went on a great hike (Cidade da Calcedónia trail) followed by a terrific drive through the park, along the Rio Homem (lake) to the Spanish border, and back down N-308-1. This five-star stone hotel is a true gem. The manicured gardens are stunning — every corner immaculately kept, perfect for peaceful morning walks. But what truly elevated our stay was the staff: warm, professional, and attentive at every turn. The management clearly sets a high standard, and it shows in the seamless, thoughtful service throughout — from check-in to housekeeping to dining. A beautiful property backed by a team that genuinely cares. Highly recommend! Management should be proud!
