"We absolutely loved our stay here, but we came for the experience, not the amenities. If you're looking for modern posh, this isn’t the place for you. If you are wanting a unique experience and the opportunity to spend the night in a historical location, then this is your bag! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We paid the small fee for the evening tour and it was wonderful! There are no TVs in the rooms and everything about the place is really, really old which was all part of the experience. We would definitely stay here again!"

"We were pleasantly surprised! Large, comfortable rooms, very nice landscaping on a small lake, good restauaunt and nice staff—all out in the middle of no where. Nothing else around. We highly recommend it. "

"A very well equipped property with delightful staff, excellent food options, lovely pool, great shopping facilities. Perfect location for exploring the highlights of Death Valley. It's much more than we would usually spend on accommodation but it was absolutely worth it. The washing machine in the apartment was a real bonus (& washing dries very very quickly in Death Valley!). Really quiet apartment - cottages are well spaced to allow privacy and reduce noise. Matthew from Mexico in the Last Kind Words restaurant was an absolute delight despite running the whole place almost single handedly. Will definitely recommend this place. "
