"Fantastic hotel in a great location ,The staff in all roles were first class and always happy to help.Taxi from the train station was approx 7 euros .good places to eat or drink close by .Through th City Gate across the road is a nice Taberna,if you go right outside of the walls next door to the ticket office for the wall walk is a Bodeguita ,and a ceveceria,oppositie Cafe Postes is good ....one to avoid is the hostel cafe ( bad experience ) "

"Keeping in mind that this is a small family run hotel in the Avila old town I am giving it my highest rating. This is not an international style 5 star, so don’t expect that. First the staff, some of which I presume are the owners, (José, Ricardo, Diego, Victor and one whose name I missed) were extremely helpful and friendly. It is clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is excellent, next to the Avila cathedral in the center of the old town. Everything is walking distance. Breakfast is European style, coffee , breads, cold cuts and cheese, very adequate for me, additional $. The restaurant has mixed reviews in google but my meal was very good and priced accordingly, no complaints. Nice wine list as well. There is WiFi which worked well, TV so-so but who’s here to watch tv? Parking is also additional $12 per night, but literally next door. Be advised that driving to the hotel is tricky. You will receive an email with detailed driving instructions. If you are good at following the instructions precisely you will arrive at the hotel parking. If you don’t, be prepared to drive around in circles for a while. So, in summary a good clean friendly place exceptionally well located with reasonable prices.. if I ever return I’ll stay her. "It’s a very affordable and attractive option if your in Ávila close to the city walls we are here in October and it’s quite cold 43 degrees outside there are restaurants and cafes within walking distance this hostel is perfect for a couple and a family holiday the owners sister was very kind to us and helped sort out the heating system for us "
