"I liked the service provided. Most of the service were great and friendly and attentive. A few people worth mentioned is server Kennedy. Bartender Raul and Williams. I also commend both person works at omelette stations. The one I encountered was the one near entrance. He does it with great enthusiasm it's adorable. A few things that I feel the place that can improve on. I feel the public bathroom are not well designed or maintain immaculately. Some stall has door that swing inside but hits the toilet due to lack of space. I went to two public bathroom and didn't have toilet paper. N the dispenser it self makes it hard to see there are toilet papers or not n very hard to use it without some effort. Also I had trouble with my room key twice..I heard is due to them being close to my phone. However first time I went to front desk to get a card, they actually wanted to send repair man to fix it. N I waited a while before going to the front desk to ask where the repair are then they came. ..n nothing wrong with the lock. It was just the key. Also there was no hot water for the shower. Warm water would be appreciated. N the toilet seat in my room wobbles n fells in the bowl partially when sitting on the toilet.."

"The property is beautiful! Daniele (the owner and property manager) has done a wonderful job remodeling her home, it’s cozy, clean, and has the most wonderful rooftop and covered patios. The hammock in the shaded side balcony, with the breeze flowing through, is what actually started my vacation after the stress related to traveling. But the true Gem is Daniele herself! She offers her guests the ability to hire her services as a taxi driver to help get to from the airport, and made my welcome so easy and smooth. She is a wealth of information on the Puerto Plata area and for foreign travelers. She makes you feel like a personal guest from the moment you arrive. If you are looking for the resort hotel feel this is not that location. But if you are a traveler that likes to immerse yourself into the locals and really feel like you are a part of the local community of where you are traveling, this will be your home away from home! "

"House is very well located with views of the ocean on one side and mountain and downtown Puerto Plata on the other side. Very nice pool and outdoor space even when it rains under the large palapas. Owners and caretaker very nice and helpful all the time. Beach, taxis, mini market store, pharmacy and resto all within 5-15 walking minutes distance. And all inside Costambar secured neighborhood. Must take a cab to go down to Puerto Plata though. 5 kms and about $15US one way. We have moved into the main house upon owners departure and love it."
