Room dirty smelled of sewerage had to open window, Cigarette burns on furniture, in general rundown condition. Booked three days only stayed one, was told by clerk refund would be given through Expedia, they would not respond to Expedia for verification. Ripped me off for two nights. "I arrived a bit early after riding my motorcycle all day in the rain. The owners welcomed me in, got me some hot coffee and some snacks. Two of the kindest people you will ever meet.

"The hostess was enthusiastic-- a florist with a lovely garden. We had very lovely conversations within my fractured French. Excellent restaurant recommendation from her that was a short and easy walk. The local park we went through is very pleasant and a nice play to sit. There were other guests yet we had no idea until we came to breakfast. We also saw them at the same restaurant. "

"Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home.
