Hiking in the lower altitudes of the Atlas Mountains is gorgeous. Zipping through almost ten Berber villages in a few hours, you truly are able to see how the local people live in each of their villages. Chickens are running around, kids playing football, and the women are socialising amongst themselves. It's always comforting to know that there are still parts of the world that do not require much technology to maintain healthy social relationships between people.

"We loved Dar Imlil! It is set in a beautiful location, nestled in the mountains with an incredible view. The room was very cozy, and surprisingly big! The staff were incredibly friendly - from the moment we walked in, Hussein and the rest of the team were able to meet all of our needs (a guide for a hike, negotiating reasonable transport onwards etc). "It was lovely to revisit Riad Atlas 4 Seasons and to meet once again the brilliant family who have created such a special place. The room was cosy and traditional with a spacious seating area outside. The terrace has the most stunning views; breakfast and dinner were delicious and served promptly even though the Riad was full. The family were so helpful - even giving us a lift into the village with our bags when we were setting off on our trek. I would recommend the Riad as a wonderful place to stay for couples, families, groups or solo travellers"
