"Unusual property, perfect location next to Marwell zoo. Staff very attentive & helpful, especially the receptionist who checked us in. Swimming pool area a little dated, with dangerously slippery floor. Used restaurant for evening meal, food overpriced for what we had, also hot offerings at breakfast were cold"

"Nice place, but no lifts. For older people, it can be very difficult to carry luggage upstairs. They will store it for you if you don’t really have to have it during your stay. Tubs are a little difficult for those with mobility issues. Otherwise, a nice place."

"The hotel is walkable from Princess Cruise terminal. Beautiful area. Tavern is close by... for some fish and chips with a pint og Guinness. "

"Interesting older hotel. Fire doors every 4-5 rooms. Lots of stairs. There is an old rickety elevator if you are on floor 2 or higher. Bed is a ok, but could use a cushioned mattress pad. Ok for an overnight stay before a cruise, but I wouldn't want to stay longer than that! There are a lot of restaurants and eateries close by."

"Really nice, spacious rooms. We stayed with our 2 small children and there was enough room for all of us. The location is perfect - very central but on a quiet street. The best feature of the hotel is the garden seating. Eating outside there is very special indeed. My only complaint is the charge of 15 pound for parking! I've never stayed at a hotel before and been charged for parking. And when I was shocked at the cost the receptionist rolled her eyes at me, as though I was the one being...

"Over all a good trip. For what I paid my accommodation was adequate. A very good price. I bought the money in an envelope to give to them personally. But no one to give the money to. It is fine I have the money with me. I will have to put in to my bank account on Tuesday then I will phone to pay for my stay. I would stay again "
