"The houseboat was amazing! It was incredibly serene and quiet, making it a wonderful place to relax. We were not far from Aalsmeer, which is a lovely town to explore. We took taxis to Hoofddorp, where we could easily hop on the train to travel around the area.The houseboat itself was spacious and comfortable to move around in, and both the beds and couches were very comfortable. "Great overall experience. It is situated in a calm area but close to all you could want to do as a tourist. We walked everywhere. Sitting on the deck for coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening is great - you get see the boats and also the cute ducks. The bed and sofa are very comfortable. Very clean and all we needed was provided. A little tricky to get on and off with luggage but on arrival we did get help. Something to consider if you have mobility issues."

This hotel was overall great. The rooms were spacious and well appointed- nespresso machine, dishwasher, tvs, etc. You could not hear noise from adjacent rooms or those above you - only occasional door slams. The breakfast had lots of options and was pretty good. I also appreciated the laundry room in the basement. It’s pretty far from the city center but close to a tram station. The staff were all helpful, friendly and always happy to accommodate. I would stay here again if back in Amsterdam.

I have stayed in several different hotels in Amsterdam. This is the best hotel for the average person -- noting I am sure there are some nicer hotels that would cost $400 a night. This hotel is perfectly located between the Museum Quarter, the old section, next to Rembrandt Square, very close to the mile long walking mall, near other great shopping streets. All the rooms are different which makes them interesting. Comfortables beds, though pillows could be softer. Free bottle of champagne in suite was nice surprise. Loved the tea and pressed coffee set up in room for mornings or chilly afternoons. A steamer in the closet is better than ironing board. The property is unique. The commons areas are welcoming and convenient. We stayed here to be close to the art museums, and if you can dodge the bikers and trams for a five-eight minute walk, you will love the experience. The cocktail spread was all we needed for that evening meal, though we did find nearby restaurants that were fun. Breakfast at the hotel was delightful. Most wonderful was the kindness of the lovely women running the hotel. We felt welcomed in Amsterdam thanks to them.

Really the perfect hotel for the museum tour, in easy walking distance to all of them. The canal is lovely and quiet, tons of busy restaurants in a 4-5 block radius, lively night-life, friendly, busy, fun. Lobby recently renovated and very enjoyable with a view of the canal -- the breakfast service is superlative. What's not to love? If you stay, book a panoramic room, you won't be disappointed.
