Location was amazing! Staff was friendly! Room was super small - miniature really - but beds were comfortable and shower was fantastic. I honestly don’t know how they fit so many comfortable things into such a tiny space! The price was within our budget. A block from Red Light streets just fyi.
Nice experience, hotel is very well located with easy access, beautiful view, clean room, very friendly & helpful staff, thank you! Would gladly recommend and revisit.
Did not realize it was a shared restroom- which actually means a small closet on the stair landing one floor down that is divided into a toilet and decidedly uninviting stall shower with curtain for unknown number of guests - toilet stall was compromised with vomit in early am. Shower was a no-go without shoes which we did not have.
Room was in an annex across the street and few doors down-and a six floor walk up with tiny spiral staircase.
Convenient location. Cute bar. Nice staff.
Overall, the hotel is good. One thing I would suggest improving is the restaurant menu. The hotel is very well located for anyone who wants to experience The Beatles attractions.
Be prepared for the steepest, narrowest, most dangerous stairs imaginable. I actually thought I was going to die walking up and down. If you book, insist on the lowest floor! Also, there is no air conditioning, and the fan they provided make squeaking noises throughout the night.
If you are a light sleeper this place is not for you. Our room was on the street. People were out all night and then street cleaning began early in the morning. Place was otherwise great and the location was perfect.
I cannot fault the lovely, helpful and friendly staff, the whole hotel was clean, linen, towels and such all spotless. Room service, when I chose to use it since only one change of towels needed, was excellent . BUT, I stayed in a single room, I doubt if you could swing a kitten in it, let alone a cat. To walk between the bed and the desk you had to turn sideways! The bathroom, again immaculate, was tiny - if you used the shower it flooded the whole bathroom floor despite a shower curtain. To dry yourself you had to do this in the room entrance lobby area, even then it was not easy, hardly room to turn round. My room, at the front of the hotel, an historic original town house, was broiling hot, I do mean broiling! I could not open the window further so with the curtain closed I had to use the supplied fan on maximum speed to keep the air circulating, air con is really needed. Their breakfast for me was great and, as it is a bar then this was ideal for a thirsty tourist - it was really warm outside so was I thirsty! A terrific location for tourists, easy walking distance to Centraal Station, trams, buses, Metro etc. Almost in the Red Light Area. Next time I will book a larger Canal view room. OH, sorry saying kitten - when I arrived they had just lost their elderly cat so were looking for a new kitten - hope you find one.
Online check in and out.
Room was very comfortable and great bathroom and shower
Very convenient location. Right beside the train station for bakeries, restaurants and grocery store.
I had to come here on a pivot from another accommodation and I’m glad I did. I physically saw the staff cleaning everyday, changing linen and towels. I had a single room with a private bathroom and it was amazing. The staff during check in was so nice and there’s a bar downstairs. Very convenient location and plenty of food and experiences to check out.
Simple and efficient Hotel.
Comfortable bed, simple shower.
Enough for what I needed.
I wanted to explore the city.
A very bad thing was the room for keep the luggage. We had to put and take it ourselves, which mean that anyone else could take my bag and claim as theirs.
I found a Bounce storage very near and great staff.
The hotel is well located and the staff were very friendly. There is a 24h reception that can be easily accessed and overall it was a lovely experience.
Did NOT expect reception desk to be “the bar” … but it works! Very helpful and courteous staff. Breakfast was good. Everything that we needed worked. Still can’t get used to the small bathrooms in Europe, but they’re adequate. Very convenient location .
Close to train station. Close to red light district, but not a problem. Street is dirty. Hotel has narrow, windy stairs. Can be noisy. Nothing fancy, but has character. and a cat.
Very central to Amsterdam, lots of night life, not quiet but we slept well with minor distraction of those getting in during the night. Very helpful staff. Steep stairs but no steeper than lots we used in the Netherlands.

Liked: Cleanliness
Great location for central outings - rooms are small but clean. Recommend for budget travellers that want central location . Highlight was Mickey the cat & the elevator .
Great to stay on the canal with views. Recognize that such older historical buildings have quirks. Staff was wonderful. Room were very minimal but adequate.
