Very basic , tired room in need of renovation, 68 steps to our room was a nightmare
Excellent location though
Excellent location and property for the price paid. The room was extremely small but clean and well put together. I took the train and tram to and from Schiphol Airport which made the hotel easy to access.
Don't be fooled by the pictures advertising this hotel. We booked for 4 nights but left after two. Dirty, incredibly small, tiny beds, toilet so small as to be unusable. Room smelled of damp, hardly surprising given the shower door leaks all over the floor. Good location and staff were helpful. No tea or coffee making facilities within the room, just communal ones in the reception area. Sadly a waste of money on an epic scale.
The room was dirty and mattresses were full of fabric peel you could feel through the sheets. One of the mattress covers was yellow stained from whatever. The fans didn’t work neither did the bathroom mirror light. The location was great but rooms need uptating.
Quiet and safe neighborhood. The staff was great, as were the rooms. I'd recommend a room with a balcony if available. It was an easy walk anywhere in the City. Heads up--the stairs sure are steep lol!

Lots of stairs, heather stopped working, worst!
We were given a room in the 4th floor with no elevator! The stairs were very hard to use and dangerous especially with luggage. It's very hard to move your luggage with stairs! The heater in the room stopped working in the middle of the night and we were freezing during the night. Overall, it was one of my worst experiences.
Stay was horrible. Room had mold and was dirty. The room flooded our last night. Completely soaked the floor with muddy water. Suitcases ruined. Several pairs of shoes and electronics (air pods and laptop) ruined. No offer to reimburse. They moved us to another room but did not even offer to help us clean up and move all of the clothes that were wet and muddy. They laundered some but not all came clean. They gave us clothes back wet and smelly to travel back with wet muddy clothes. Horrible stay.
Wanted to stay one short night before we headed to the airport on next day. As I got to the hotel early, room wasn’t ready but I was expected. I left my luggage by the counter where there is no separate area for keeping. Lobby was very tiny. I should have checked my room but I was rush to get out to enjoy my time here in Amsterdam. Hotel has no elevator so I was just hoping I would not get high floor. When I came back at night, staff showed me room is located basement. That is right, I said BASEMENT. In fact, they advertise as one family room is basement which I wasn't aware.
Because it located in half basement when you open the windows it levels as ground where I see all stuff pilings at the back of property and it stinks and I didn't feel safe. I was asking to cancel and refund but my request was denied. Hotel staff wasn't handling situation correctly he just push me to talk to his boss by myself.
