We enjoyed our stay at this hotel- it was in a great location, rooms are nice, bed was comfy. Staff are very responsive and helpful. You can rent bikes from the hotel. The only small complaint was that the breakfast was a little disappointing for what amounted to $40 CAD (25 Euros). But Amsterdam is expensive so maybe just have to adjust expectations. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel really exceeded my expectations! It was amazingly beautiful, clean, staff were very friendly and helpful and on top of that it was incredibly close to transportation. Will definitely stay again! To all the young ladies and gentlemen that work there( you were amazing)

The breakfast is top tier, no notes. The room was smaller than I thought but that wasn’t all that bad either…the only thing that stuck out was the smell of the linen and towels. I’m not challenging whether they were clean but they smelled like somebody instead of having a neutral clean fresh scent usually found in hotels. It was worth the money and not super expensive. I’ll keep this place in my rotation.

We had a lovely stay here. The room was well appointed if a little small. Everything was comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was great. It was walkable to the busy parts of Amsterdam but in a quiet area for when you wanted to rest. Had a very nice wine selection.

A very pleasant hotel stay a short walk or tram ride from the scenic city centre but away from the hustle. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was good and reasonably priced.

Property is about 20-25mins walk to main attractions (Centraal station, Dam square, Rembrandtplein, Museumplein) Away from crowd, situated in calmer locality it is an excellent choice for families. It’s right next to a tram station and zoo/acquarium. Our room was spacious and renovated, clean, had all basic amenities. Hotel had a small gym and lobby area was very welcoming with board games. Also had a bar which serves coffee/expresso etc and drinks. Best part of the hotel are the breakfast and staff/service. Antonia and Skyler were super kind and attentive.

staff really helpfull and friendly, breakfast is solid. the cleaning was quick, the room was private, i wasnt bothered and everyone was very helpful. location great, rent out a bike and youre close to anywhere you wanna go, also the staff knows good night clubs and has good recommendations so overall very good experience. the hotel is def worth it

The hotel is in a great location and was definitely clean, stylish and lived up to the appearance you would expect from a five-star property. The beds were also incredibly comfortable and cosy, which made for a very good night’s sleep. However, I felt the service could have been much warmer and more welcoming. On arrival, I had to carry and drag a heavy suitcase up a set of stairs myself before reaching the elevator. For this type of hotel, I would have expected a member of staff to offer assistance, particularly with heavy luggage. The staff also didn’t really explain what the hotel had to offer or provide much information about the facilities, which was disappointing, especially as it was my first time visiting Amsterdam. A warmer welcome and a little more personal attention would have made a big difference. There was also an issue with the toilet, which was quite shocking as alot of water would splash out even when the lid was down. To their credit, the hotel dealt with this immediately once I raised it, which I appreciated. Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the location is excellent. However, for a five-star experience, I expected a higher level of hospitality, attentiveness and attention to detail.

We stayed at the Lancaster in Amsterdam for 6 nights from 2/7/26. We don't normally contribute to this kind of thing but I felt i had to say something about this hotel. This hotel was, without doubt, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. My partner suffered a broken arm whilst we were out sightseeing and the hotel staff couldn't have been better at helping us ( arranging hospital taxis and general help and concern) we fully recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay again. If there was a 6/5 we'd give it. Thank you
