"We had a quick, but nice 1-night stay at the Cliffs. Everything about our stay was easy and enjoyable - check-in, parking, room/cleanliness. We especially loved the pool and hot tub area. If we stayed longer we definitely would have gotten on the tennis or pickleball courts. Recommend for a couple or family. There’s no quick, walkable beach access - so definitely need a car. "

"Tough parts were under construction (2 of 5 hot tubs and Kukui’s restaurant), the construction did not interfere with our stay. Kukui’s set up shop near the pool and the staff were very friendly. This hotel is very well maintained and a beautiful facility with a suer friendly staff. The only thing we wish we had was more places to hang our swimsuits in the shower. Nawiliwili Bay is large and has a massive beach which was never busy. There was no seaweed on the beach but there was a significant amount of driftwood which didn’t interfere with being in the water. The waves were pretty small but there was an area that was surfing quality (although we didn’t surf). It’s a short drive to the airport but you wouldn’t know as we didn’t hear any plane noise. The Royal Sonesta is a wonderful place and we had a fantastic time there."

"We stayed here for about 4 days in early June of 2024, all I can really say is that this was probably one of the friendliest hotels I've ever stayed at in my life. The staff and owner truly do go above and beyond to help make your stay as comfortable as possible and you really leave there thinking you have made a couple friends along the way. While the hotel is a little dated, (you need to use a physical key to open the door, window units in the room for AC, etc...) it's absolutely not a dealbreaker as it definitely gives off an 'old school' vibe of a hotel and keep it looking immaculate. They brought back their luau which was an amazing time, and it's only about 10 minutes from downtown and the airport. Again, we had a great time and I definitely recommend there if you're looking for a hidden gem of the island. "

"The pool is amazing. Very family oriented resort. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Nice BBQ grill areas. Probably the best place to stay with a family on the island. They have a beach area and there is always a lounge chair available. It is located between the North and South side of the island which is the perfect location. I thought about staying on the South side next time, but I think this place probably has the best pool area on the island. They have a restaurant on-site as well. I do wish it was in an area that was a little more lush, but it is like its own little world. I would highly recommend it. "
