"It was good. Hallways could have been better vacuumed. Was directed originally to room 318, but the bed on the left in the room smelled extremely musty and had a huge sink in the middle and I mentioned the problem to the staff and they immediately fixed the problem by changing me to another room that was fine. But the bed in 318 has to be replaced. Otherwise the staff was nice. The location was great. And breakfast was good."

"We love going to the Doubletree. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We love the pool and the bar out front across the sea wall has the best mixed drinks on the seawall. I would highly recommend the Doubletree. Do anyone wanting to stay on the seawall excellent location and friendly staff and great accommodations."

"Staff very pleasant. Hotel clean and beds comfortable. Only downside is water pressure in shower is not great and the staff uses a lot of smelly cleaning products which actually assaulted my nose. Smelled great but not with allergies."

"The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff was exceptional had suggestions for whatever we had planned that day. It was our first time in Galveston and didn’t regret one thing. Overall we had a great time and definitely will be returning back again soon. Thanks to Ms. Dee who made our trip more enjoyable."

"This is an older property & you have to realize that right off. But it has been pretty well maintained & updated. Little oddities come along w/ that - like in our bathroom the lavatory handles (to turn on the water) spun around at the base near the counter top rather than as designed. We purchased an upgraded room w/ balcony - but you had to exit the room & cross a secured hallway to utilize this balcony. It's just kind of odd. But overall we enjoyed our stay. The pool area is very nicely done. My only complaint is that the hot tub area is right by the bar where smoking is permitted. So at the end of the day when we wanted to access it - we had to pass as the amount of smoke was unbearable. All of the staff people we encountered were kind & helpful. The breakfast ladies were so sweet & friendly. Would stay here again. It's not super fancy but great for a quick night at the beach get away."
