"Stayed at 9 Tree by Parnas Myeongdong 2 for two weeks and overall had a very good experience. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and in a great location. Staff were professional and helpful throughout my stay.
However, there was a serious concern on my last day (April 10th). A fire alarm occurred and on the top floor (16th), and there was no clear or visible emergency exit guidance. Guests were confused, frantic and searching for stairways, as there were no clearly marked exit doors. It took a little over 5 minutes to find that the stair access was hidden behind a “staff only” door, and even then required going through another door to reach the staircase. There was no clear, immediate indication of where to go in an emergency.
Additionally, the phone in my room was not working when I attempted to contact the front desk during the situation.
While the overall stay was excellent, the lack of clearly marked emergency exits and communication during a fire situation is a serious safety concern that should be addressed."
