"We loved our stay at the cottage! The lake was so peaceful, clear warm water. It was exactly what we were looking for and more! Rustic cottage, water toys, hanging on the dock or the beach, bonfires, fishing, exploring, sunrise paddles. The dogs were the happiest being off leash and exploring, swimming, dock diving. 10/10 recommend 👌 "

"The Apsley Inn and Restaurant provided exactly the accommodations we needed on our work trip in the area. The rooms were clean, and the staff on-site was extremely flexible in accommodating our off-hour check-in and check-out times as well. I would recommend this motel for people needing a place to stay locally "

"Was advertised (directly from owner) to be great swimming. Water was shallow with end of dock about 4 ft. Beach was taken up with unusable paddle boat. Dock was littered with dried/fresh goose poop. No ladder off end of dock. Weeds have encroached up to dock and beyond at end. Driveway to lake is not maintained. Grandson fell in hole, unhurt. My adult daughter fell next day with cuts and bruises to her knee, luckily did’t break anything. Cottage was getting tired looking. Outside deck need some new boards. Railing not up to Ont standards. Our dog almost jumped off area with no railing. Ran out of propane before week was up. Bathroom tub surround showed mold on caulking. They had round fans and we brought 4 tower fans as others have said no ventilation which we also found. Temps outside dropped at night, but most windows would not open. Dishwasher needs replacing. Would clean most dishes, but some came out dirty. Bottom drawer kept loosing wheels. Ceiling leaked with good rainfall (owner advised next day. He did give us small rebate). Water pond didn’t work which left it a great mosquito breading place. Water /beach was main reason we rented here. Had to drive into Bobcaygeon to their beautiful beach. Feel cottage would be great for group of guys looking for a poker place weekend."
