"Lovely hotel in a beautiful village with great staff, the pool and leisure facilities are good also. It definitely needs a public bar that is open - I went to enter the Events bar but door was locked.. "

Access to walks ,penrith and carlisle was great .lovely peaceful little village. The village shop is well stocked .and the fox and pheasent is great for food .we had a lovely time .thanks to our hosts "

"Beautiful property in a quiet area, advertised to be Carlisle but was a few miles out, this wasn't too much of an inconvenience. Parking available on the street, internet and phone available. Only improvement I would recommend would be to swap the bed from a double to a king, however this wouldn't stop me from recommending the place."
