Sun Village Hotel,Arpora,Goa-India
This was a reasonably a better than average place to stay in Arpora which is close to Baga where you have the beach bars and parties. The Hotel Staff are welcoming. The Rooms are sufficient for up to three people.Breakfeast is very standard...but in room service Lunch and Dinner meals are cooked very well and delicious..The Bar prices are very reasonable in comparisont to outside bars.....They have excellent Taxi service with fixed prices to travel which work out to be cheaper than finding one your self....it's a very family orientated atmospher with a very reasonabley affordable room price and the best pit about the hotel is it has an excellent pool...
This place is a gem! An amazing resort for the price in constrast to other resorts in the area. The property is exceptional, well maintained and the entire staff from the front desk to the hard working ladies tending to the gardens are friendly and truly make for a unforgettable experience. The rooms are spacious and clean. The only recommendation I have is the lack of flare in the sitting room as there is a large wall that is bare and would add so much warmth and depth with a large wall painting, etc. Breakfast was served poolside and was pleasing with custom eggs, fresh fruit, and lots of other items. Inroom/poolside dinning options are affordable and the first I have even seen in my years of travel. The property is tranquil and perfect for relaxing. There is a taxi counter within a few yards where we rented a bike which was a awesome find that allowed us to explore the area. I can’t say enough about this place and look forward to my next stay.
Hotel has very good facilities & pool. The staff is very friendly & always ready to help. The shuttle to & fro to Baga is very good & they adjust the time if u request. The gala dinner & its arrangements were very good. There was a huge spread of Indian & international cuisine. The breakfast was very nice with variations everyday.
Thank u for a lovely stay

Reasonable hotel requiring improvements
It was a good clean hotel/resort but certainly bot 4 star.Staff were polite and helpful.Location was good.I wish staff could explain the facilities such as free transport to the beech in more detail.
Entrance to hotel does not match its image or status, the entrance drive is broken and bumpy.
Food was ok but could be improved for serving and cleanliness in the restaurant which is OK but not great.
All the facilities are best. the food taste is awesome. The breakfast, launch and dinner arrangement's are really good. Room service is also quick and the most i like which i got for my small baby which was awesome living it hope i will get 1 more chance to stay there i like cleanliness, comfort of room .
I stayed there for 4 days and experience was good..
But you must be requiring a vehicle to move to different places like mostly beaches ...

Mediocre hotel
I would not recommend this hotel. The check-in did not go smoothly. Despite making this reservation 3 months in advance, on arrival the hotel reception told us that they did not receive our reservation and they asked us to wait for about 30 minutes. The reception staff were also rude. The breakfast buffet, restaurant and spa were good, although the beauty salon was incapacitated for a such a busy holiday season. The location seemed quite a distance from the beaches, night markets and popular tourist sites.
This was my worst experience with a hotel in my entire life time. Do not book this hotel ever. It looks like a good deal near anjuna and baga but the moment you enter and witness the hospitality and rooms it is a big disaster.
Was at Sun Village with family from 30-Apr-2013 for a 4 nights stay. The hotel was little far and into interior from Baga beach, but not difficult to find. Hotel room and surroundings were clean. Had requested for pool view room during booking. Since this was an off-season, got it without any issues. Little let down with welcome drink (glass of sprite), but i guess that's the way it is across all hotels i have been to. The complimentary breakfast was superb with lots of varieties on menu. The hotel had a gym, scuba pool and spa facilities. Except for Gym, rest were closed, reason being off-season. My 5 year old kiddo enjoyed the swimming pool most. Hotel staff was amicable. The only let off was lack of lift in the hotel. Also they could have a more appropriate vehicle parking facility. Overall had a fantastic stay and experience at Sun Village. Would definitely go back to same hotel if i am back in Goa.

Just OK
If you are travelling on your own I would not recommend this place, it's quite isolated with nothing much within walking distance and generally seemed to be families and groups staying. There is nothing particularly bad about this hotel but it's a bit characterless and certainly in the room I was staying in there was a constant drone from the kitchen or A/C that was situated near the room. The room was very big but dark with little natural light.
The staff are rude, I booked a cab with the reception, the night before leaving to the airport.
In the morning. I had to wake up the 2 staff members that were working at the reception as they were both fast asleep on the job . As they woke up I asked wheres my cab none of them knew of such booking. I had to carry my suit cases in the middle of the road and hail one.
This hotel should be closed down, its dirty, shaby and the staff are rude, you have been warned
