"Perfect "

"Our room in Hotel 1908 was fabulous. It was big and well air-conditioned when we arrived. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. I know that those reading this might not believe, but it was the best 3 nights of sleep I have gotten in at least 4 years. The bathroom is huge and clean. The windows in the bathroom and room both open. The hotel gives you these cute bedroom slippers and post cards you can mail back home. They also treated us with a delicious cappuccino and took their time to explain the way around the city. André, who helped us, was very nice and courteous. I would definitely stay at Hotel 1908 again. "

"Great place, clean and central with helpful, friendly staff. The only issue we had was the water pressure/balancing. If one was in the shower and another ran a tap or flushed the toilet, the person in the shower was in for a scolding. Other than that, no complaints. Breakfast was perfect by the way, with lots of choices"

"The apartment was perfect for our short stay before catching an early flight the next morning. The 3 of us were happy to find a spacious, clean and practical space to unwind after a cruise and get organised for our flight home. The staff were very helpful when checking in and took our luggage so we could go and explore Lisbon while our room was not available. The receptionist helped us with our luggage up the stairs. The location of the hotel was convenient to walk downtown and only a 10 minute taxi to the airport (at 4.15am). The beds were very comfortable. We were greeted with a friendly night receptionist who offered to get us a taxi to the airport. Would be happy here if we were staying for longer."

"Comfortable, quiet hotel, well located for exploring the city. Friendly, helpful staff. Complimentary drink upon arrival. Good variety of items for breakfast. Special thanks to breakfast room staffperson Paula who provided us with ice and water for our water bottles each day before we headed out to walk Lisbon. For a change of pace from excellent Portuguese food, we enjoyed Passage to India (across the street from the hotel) and Italy Caffe Ristorante (on the parallel street around the corner)."

"Pros: Very good position near the centre. Two bistros next door. One of the lowest prices in town for standard room + private bathroom. Simple check-in process. Cons: very old equipment + electrics, near to quite noisy crossroad, also from the hallway you can hear everything. Official check-in 4:30 p.m. In our case one bed was so squeaky… For low price you get low quality – so simple. Do not try to contact the hotel via messages – no response. The hotel has confusing info about the check-in process; they say there is no front desk.. There is (but not open 24/7). This was actually the best experience of this stay - the young lady at the front desk was very kind, nice, and allowed us to check-in about 4 p.m. but we could keep our luggage in the room even about a hour earlier. Thanks! "
