"From start to finish this was a great house. The owners communicated to welcome us the morning of our reservation. I had questions about fishing, they responded within 20 min. The check-in was super simple. These owners want you to feel at home, as they allow you to use the house as if it is your own: spices in the kitchen, pots/pans, shampoo, laundry machines, etc. The kids and us really enjoyed the journal (you'll understand when you rent), was such a nice such! The house is initmate, cozy, and you do NOT feel spread out. You come as a family/group, and you feel that together'ness. All of the reviewers raves about the outside porch, and it does not disappoint. The kids played soccer and volleyball in the yard about a day at the beach/pool, they enjoyed the yard, shady trees, etc. There is a small fenced in area if you bring your pet. There is literally nothing I can say I would change. Everywhere we needed to go was within a 20 min drive. The walmart/HEB was close. The bleach/splashpad for the kids was near the walmart. Fishing was in multiple locations, within 15-20 min. Everything was really close. There is a General store 45 seconds away from the house for simple items (we did not go in, forgot to). Internet worked just find. We would def recommend this house to others who stay in Port Lavaca. "

"The place was clean and had that fish camp feel.The place was as described.Becky was easy to communicate with and kept in touch.We fished out back and caught lots of hard heads of course. We also caught some rat reds and sheephead, all undersized. Had one very hard hit on live croaker that broke the line. I would absolutely stay here again."

"I booked this property as a surprise for my better half because he's been working like crazy and loves to fish so this spot sounded ideal for some relaxation. It was exactly what we needed. The house is super clean, the decor is great, the area is nice and very quiet and the fishing pier is a block away. The people we met were all very friendly and there are some delicious restaurants nearby. It was the perfect escape from our reality and we will definitely return. "
