"AC in our room wasn’t working with that hot weather. The steam and sauna wasn’t working the jacuzzi is you have to wait 6 minutes to work it’s insane . Wasn’t a good experience at all."

"Run-down and grossly overpriced. No air-conditioning and no fan, and the window barely opened, so it was hotter in the room than it was outside. Room overlooked student accommodation and there were very loud parties until c.3am and c.5am on the two nights I stayed. When I was finally able to sleep the bottle bins were emptied in the alley underneath the window at 06:30. Complete shambles."

"The staff were friendly. Our room was smelly and there was hair on the carpet. We were moved to a different room immediately, which we appreciated. This was a lovely room. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. On arrival ( at 3pm), the corridor leading to our room was scattered with empty bottles, glasses and plates. There were dirty plates outside our room, too. Not a great first impression. We stayed for two night and our room was not cleaned during our stay. We were told that they were busy due to a wedding. I was not impressed as this is part of staying in a hotel. I appreciate that the hotel was busy but there was lots of queuing. We waited quite a while to check in and there was a long queue on both days to get into the restaurant for breakfast. It felt like the hotel was understaffed as even going to the restaurant for dinner took about 10 minutes of waiting to be seated. The staff were friendly and worked very hard."

"We stayed at Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The swimming pool was not fully usable during our stay, which was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. Our room was booked for three guests, but it was only prepared for two. Basic items were missing and not set up correctly. Several maintenance issues were also present on arrival, including an empty handwash bottle with a broken trigger, a faulty door handle, and an iron that did not work properly. Overall, the room was not properly maintained or prepared, and the issues reported were not resolved during our stay. Very disappointing experience and not reflective of the standard expected."

"Beware of the room you are given. My wife, myself and my 2 kids (5 and 7) were given a room that only had 1 single bed and 1 double bed. Ended up pushing the beds together so the kids didn't fall out of bed. Terrible. I tried messaging the hotel prior to arriving to query this, but messages were not replied to. Also, we stayed here last year (with a room that accommodated us), and the food last year was vastly superior. Pizza last year was rustic, and home made style. This year the pizza bases looked and tasted like ready made from Tesco. Really unpleasant."
