"Me and my partner stayed here for 7 days, the property was absolutely perfect. The location is great it’s easy to find and tucked away but also 10 minutes from town (Selfoss) and 50 minutes from the south coast sites. "Grund is truly a gem. It's a beautiful and very comfortable house in a quiet and sparse "neighborhood". It was such a treat to watch the sun set over the Icelandic landscape from the sauna and watch the aurora right from the house (it's a fairly good viewing point with lots of open sky, dark enough though you could drive another 45 min away to be in a totally dark zone). Thorsteinn is a very responsive host and we were in touch during the whole stay. I will be recommending Grund to my friends...

"We stayed here for 4 nights in July, two adults and two children (8 and 10). The cottage is located a 30-45 min drive from a lot of cool sites, and 20 mins from Selfoss with shops and cafés. The cottage itself is really nice, clean and well kept, with a very nice hot tub! Would recommend sleeping with the windows closed in the summer though, to keep the gnats/mosquitos out. We learned the hard way the first night 😅"

"This beautiful, clean and spacious seaside home was our first stop on an 8 day visit to Iceland and we were not disappointed. The home was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed for our family of 4. We loved the location right by the water and a 2 min. walk to an incredible seafood restaurant. The town’s location was also very convenient to Reykjavik and Selfoss and Golden Circle sites. We’d return in a heartbeat to this wonderful cottage!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property. Clean, bright and welcoming with very nice homey touches. The hot pot was fantastic after a 6 mile hike. The location couldn't be beat, so close to all the sites for the Golden Circle. Communication with Sven was excellent. We flew in very late at night and his directions were perfect! "

"Greg and Magnea were amazing hosts. Their property is absolutely perfect for a big group like ours were. Plenty of rooms so you can spread the group out while also having big community areas to all hang out in. You could also spread out and have smaller group hangs outs as well. I could go on and on about how amazing this place was!"

"I absolutely loved my stay here. I stayed two separate nights during my travels and these cottages are so well equipped for a home away from home. Everything you could want is provided, they really have thought of everything. The cottages were beautiful, clean, comfortable and the views were stunning!
