  • This detached property has a peaceful countryside setting on a smallholding, yet is only a short drive from beaches and coastal resorts.. All on the Ground Floor:

    Open plan living space.

    Living area: Freeview TV, DVD Player

    Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, French Doors Leading To Garden Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Bidet, Toilet

    Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds, French Doors Leading To Garden

    Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Bidet, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Doggie extras. Large, enclosed lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars.. Both properties: Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot available on request. Welcome pack. 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times. Kennels available. No smoking.. Situated in a beautiful, rural location near the village of Bilsington, these two detached properties are in the perfect location for a countryside break, ideal for relaxing and unwinding. The properties are adjacent to the owners’ smallholding, which is home to a range of animals including emu, goats, turkeys and many more. With this in mind, the owners are happy to welcome pets, however they must be kept on a lead at all times.



    The Chicken Shed (ref UKC2242) has been decorated and furnished to a good standard with a unique style to ensure guests feel at home. The Duck House (ref UK10016), which has been refurbished in 2018, is a spacious converted stable and boasts fantastic countryside views from the living room. During the warmer months, guests can enjoy the large enclosed gardens and stunning views.





    The local pub is a short distance away in Bilsington, and there are also shops and restaurants in Aldington. For a high speed train journey to London or Paris, Ashford International is a short drive away. Kent also boasts several fantastic golf courses with the closest being in Tenterden. Several attractions in Kent include Canterbury, with its boutique shops, cobbled streets and famous cathedral, or enjoy a day by the sea in either Whitstable or Broadstairs. Beach 8½ miles. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 1½ miles.

    The Chicken Shed (ref UKC2242) and The Duck House (ref UK10016) can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests.

We had such a good holiday at The Duck House.

We had such a good holiday at The Duck House. Margaret and Roberto were excellent hosts. The eggs and Prosecco were delicious. The cottage is lovely and very comfortable. The garden was beautiful, overlooking the field. Our husky absolutely loved it. Enclosed garden and plenty of footpaths for excellent walks in the forest and fields. A 15-20 minute walk to the pub (food was very nice). During our week we visited Ashford, Hastings, Rye and Margate. We were blessed with the most amazing weather. We will most certainly be back. We finally found property .

We finally found property . We do not have Satnav . And sign posts almost non existent . Only one facing wrong way on road you need to take. The owners were more than helpful, and the welcome basket was more than appreciated. Even catering for treats for the dog. If we could have ordered good weather there would have been no problems, but u fortunately that was out of our hands. One thing would thoroughly recommend eating at THE PILOT at DUNGENESS. Well worth it.

We had a lovely stay at The Duck House, the accomodation was spotlessly clean and was one of the best lodges we have stayed in. The location was very peaceful with a wonderful sunny garden. The owners Roberto and Margaret gave us a warm friendly welcome and we were made to feel at home right away. We would recommend staying here to anybody. Roberto and Margaret- Our horse Malvern won!!!

A lovely, clean, well furnished , comfortable country cottage.

A lovely, clean, well furnished , comfortable country cottage. The rear garden is securely enclosed, so very suitable for dogs. The welcome home basket was very good. The owners, Margaret and Roberto are great hosts, very helpful and hospitable. We really enjoyed our stay and we will return later in the year. Highly recommended
