"We often stay at The Red Lion. The staff are friendly and helpful . The rooms are always clean and the beds comfy . Breakfast is delicious with a lot of choice. It’s good to have the option of having lunch or the evening meal at the hotel. "

"We were staying for a wedding and one of us had to leave early while the other not till much later in the day. I had reached out asking if we could get late checkout, even just an additional hour would have helped. They were super kind and had arranged late check out for us with no problems. Super helpful and friendly staff And lovely food. Only moan would be we only had a double bed rather then king-size (1st world problems I know)"

"Fantastic room. Very spacious and spotless. Good choice of evening meals snacks and full meals available. Breakfast a little disorganised no places set had to ask for cups plates etc . Cooked food not included in price per night. Would definitely recommend a stay here. "

"Wonderful one night stay as part of exploring Rutland Water and area over a weekend. Worth staying here for the fabulous food alone (amazing menu and incredibe service). Room was large, clean and comfortable. Lovely peninsula walk (5.5 or 7 mile options) right on the doorstep and a short drive to two nature / bird reserves. Would recommend and we will hopefully be back."
