"The breakfast is great and the staff is very supportive. I had to catch my flight early in the am and one of the staff actually came downstairs with me to help locate my cab. I thought that was very sweet of them. The rooms are super comfy and cozy. Love the location as you are right by Waverley and you can walk down to the Scott memorial and access Old Town just a hop, skip and jump away! "

"It was the best buffet breakfast our family has had. Quality ingredients, fresh, a variety of options. Fresh juices, smoothies, hot options, omelet station, tea and coffee. Just great! "

"Rooms are OK even if water is always slipping from the shower. Breakfast is not the best aspect of this hotel. Last time I found dirty towels and sheets. They also offer a voucher for who doesn’t request the room cleaning, which is a nice initiative. On the other hand they have many limitations of its usage making less useful. So after you fall in the trick you don’t do it or at least only for the environment."

"Pros - Staff were really lovely, room was clean and location excellent. Cons - Room was on ground floor underneath a busy street/hill so was very noisy through the night despite double glazing. Free seating at breakfast tricky for a solo traveller - it was very busy and my seat (despite my book on the table) was taken by the time I returned with my food and I had to hover for a while for another seat."

"Room and Kitchen were clean and well equipped. Staff were courteous and attentive. One member of the night staff on our second night was very helpful and concerned when my wife had left her handbag at the restaurant we ate at. He made several phone calls in an attempt to resolve and called us a taxi( keeping us updated on its ETA) -we retrieved the bag!- apologies we did not get his name. Will definitely stay again when we visit Edinburgh. "

"Lovely hotel and wonderful staff. We had a room on a floor where you had to catch 2 seperate lifts or walk stairs which was not straightforward for the standard you pay for. The bathroom is tiny."
