It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this property was. The pods were quite comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean. The restaurant in the front area was very good. The location was absolutely amazing! Located right on the Royal Mile in a quiet back corner. Would stay here again and recommend it to others!

I normally avoid hostels but would stay there again. It was very clean, the pods give you a reasonable privacy and being in a room with 6 others was hardly an issue. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and the place had cool amenities like a coworking space, kitchen, and a couple of lounges. The age of travellers was mixed so not only 20 year olds 😅

This was a wonderful location to stay. My wife and I stayed in a private room with a bath on the 4th floor. We enjoyed the style in which the property was decorated. Having the bar downstairs was appreciated and the location on the Royal Mile could not be better. We were in the middle of everything but the noise from the street was never a problem. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a superior room with private bathroom. The room was lovely but on the small side. The waffle with bacon and the avocado with gravlax for Breakfast was delicious. Staff were very helpful. The location is very convenient. I would stay again.

Very nice hostel. Location is superb. It was quiet at night. Stay was very lovely and helpful. Nice bar and dining area. Rooms were clean. Good lockers for belongings and comfortable bed. My only downside was that the tube style of the bed allows for no air flow at all. It was hot during the night. They did offer me a little fan but for whatever reason it did not help. The air is just stale so I got very stuffy the first few days. Otherwise fantastic hostel, the vibes are great, bathrooms are nice and clean. Would stay again.

This is a very (relatively) affordable place to stay. I did a social dinner that was fun. Sleeping in the big rooms in a pod was OK once I had the earplugs in, but since one must be quiet there is a vibe of "don't talk to me!" throughout the facility. Outside of the sleeping room, it is a youth hostel and has the energy and music that goes with that. The staff were great.

The location was excellent, the food was good, the social aspect was unexpectedly fun. We are older than the typical guests, so my only negative is that we were in bed sooner than most and the elevator ding and doors clunking shut late into the evening took away from general sleep quality. But, if you want good value and superb location and a chance to mingle with travellers from all over the world, this is a good place to start.

This hotel surpassed our expectations. Yes we slept in an old cell but that just gave it character. Emerson and Faith were extremely helpful. You can't beat the location as you walk out the door and in a minute you are on the Royal Mile. We had no idea it would be this convenient. It was a wonderful last night before heading back to the USA.

Really wonderful stay in an 8 bed female dorm at The Code. Room was clean, lockers for belongings are large and easy to access. Common area bathrooms were very clean and never crowded. The cafe is great and you can't beat the location to everything in city center. Highly recommend and will likely stay here again.
