Holiday home for those who like to stop in history and stories

On the top floor of an ancient family home, in the historic center of Assisi, a few steps from the Basilica of San Francesco, Assisi Al4 is a silent and regenerating corner that smells of medicinal herbs in the summer, which I couldn't resist falling in love with .

The interior design is the work of Paolo, my husband.
While my mother, my daughter and I have dedicated ourselves to furnishing.
We have chosen to recover most of the furnishings from my past. The old sideboard, the 70s sofa, the wardrobe, the black and white photos, the lights on the bedside tables and on the walls, the bathroom mirror.
Certainly because I liked them but also because each of them has a story. To tell.


THE HOUSE
The apartment consists of two double beds and a futon, ideal for 5 people.
Respecting the original structure, the holiday home is not suitable for being accessible to people with disabilities.

The large and bright living room is the heart of the house with a comfortable reading area and a spacious library for illustrated books, graphic novels, art books.

The kitchen is equipped, as well as a dishwasher, oven and fridge, with everything needed for the preparation of a rich and tasty breakfast (kettle, toaster, waffle maker and mocha maker).
Upon your arrival you will find bread, milk, coffee, fruit juice, butter, jam, sugar, pasta, tomato sauce, oil and salt; just enough to feel at home immediately.

We have paid particular attention to the sleep of our guests, relying on the professionalism of the experts and the high quality of the Cerguty products.
The bedroom has a king size bed and a spacious and well organized wardrobe, while the mezzanine houses the other queen size double bed. Also in the mezzanine, where the roof becomes lower, there is the fifth bed made up of a futon mattress resting on a tatami.

The bathroom is equipped with shower, bidet, toilet and a spacious sink with mirror.
For linen, we preferred the ideal double sponge for a soft and enveloping drying.
Available for guests hand soap and shower shampoo.
Hidden by a curtain wall is the washer-dryer.

The terrace, surprising for its size and position, is ideal for meditation, yoga, pilates or more simply to converse under the stars with your travel companions accompanying words with a glass of wine with the flavors of our land.


COMFORT
At our guests disposal washer-dryer, iron, dishwasher, oven, induction stove, fridge, hairdryer.
Kitchen equipped with dishes and battery of pots to prepare your meals in complete autonomy.
Available for our guests linen for the bathroom and bedrooms.

We preferred the fast connection to TV, which allows you to easily download and watch movies, series or programs on tablets.

Underfloor heating makes the rooms pleasantly warm and comfortable.
For maximum comfort, the apartment is equipped with adjustable independent air conditioning.

Those who love to experiment with local flavors can rely on the cuisine of a home chef whether natural, tractional or vegan.

Upon request, the day can end with a moment dedicated to reading aloud. For children of all ages.
Our selection of illustrated books, graphic novels and art books is available for guests to read and browse comfortably seated in the bright and comfortable reading corner.

If you want cleaning and laundry service during your stay, you can request it at the time of booking or as needed.

A few steps from the apartment there is a bus stop that connects the structure to Santa Maria degli Angeli and the train station.

Assisi Al Quattro, a retreat for those who love to immerse themselves in history and stories.

THE APARTMENT

The bright, spacious living room is the heart of the property. A light, comfortable reading area with a large bookcase for picture books, graphic novels and art books was essential.

The kitchen area, which includes dishwasher, oven and fridge, is equipped with everything necessary to prepare a delicious breakfast. On arrival you will find a few essentials - milk, coffee, fruit juice, butter, jam, sugar, pasta, tomato sauce, oil and salt; just enough to make you feel at home straightaway.

We have taken special care over the sleeping arrangements of our guests, relying on professional expertise and high quality Cerguty products. In the main bedroom there's the king-size bed and a spacious well organized wardrobe, while a queen-size bed and is in the mezzanine, where, under the eaves, you can also find a hidden den with tatami mat, futon.

Well-heated with wall-mounted radiators, the bathroom is equipped with a shower, bidet, toilet and a spacious sink with mirror. Wrap yourself in our bath linens which have been chosen for their softness and comfort. Hand soap, shower gel and shampoo are provided for our guests.
Hidden in a corner is a washer-drier.

The terrace: the highlight of the property. Surprising in both size and position. Ideal for meditation, yoga, pilates or simply to trade stories under the stars with your fellow travelers, perhaps with a glass of wine and some delicious local treats to accompany the words.

For maximum comfort, the apartment is equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning.

A private parking space is available for our guests in the gated courtyard of the property.

For those who love to sample the local cuisine, we can provide a chef to cook for you at home, for any type of diet - natural, traditional or vegan.

On request, we can end the day with a special story time. For children of all ages!
