In many ways, you know exactly what to expect with a Motel 6: the rooms are cheap because they don't spend a lot on the furnishings, or stock your room with a mini-bar, or offer free cookies at check-in. TL:DR - request one of the updated rooms for the most comfortable stay. We ended up seeing two rooms: our original room was not one of the updated ones and had some cleanliness issues. There were nail polish stains on the floor, the floor of the shower was pretty dingy, and the wash-towel swan by the sink had hair on it. The A/C also didn't work, so they moved us to one of the updated rooms. However, this hotel is currently undergoing a renovation, and the updated rooms are surprisingly lovely! The bed was pretty comfortable, the TV had a great selection for TV and movie channels, and the room had a mini fridge and microwave. The toiletries in the bathroom are good quality, and everything was pretty clean.

Perfect place to stay for my trip to Atascadero

This motel was ideal for my purposes! Clean, comfortable, quiet, dark (so I could sleep) and close to everything I wanted in Atascadero. The only suggestion I have is to make the coffee in the lobby stronger.

When Family Visited From Out of Town

I had family coming for a visit and due to lack of room in my apartment, I got them a motel room. Motel 6 was accommodating, clean, and quiet. The time that was spent in the Motel 6 room was little, but they both commented on the fact of how quiet it was and that they got a lot of sleep.

We were able to check in a bit early, which was nice because we had to be at a wedding from 2p-7p. Room is clean. Walls are thin, you can hear every footstep and every time someone in the adjoining rooms runs water or flushes a toilet. Neighborhood feels a bit sketchy, but not the fault of the property. We just need a place to sleep for the night after the wedding, so it was fine.

We stayed there for the 4th of July, and it was good. I never ever stay at a Motel 6, even after their remodel. This one was good, clean, safe and right off the highway.

Sadly price hikes due to local event meant this was the lowest priced. Check in was easy, but the location was right off the exit do was noisy and homeless hung around the back of the parking lot. The room was clean but it smelled like old smoke. You could tell it used to be a smokers room. Everything worked fine and towels were clean. Bed was old, but no bugs.

Good enough for sleep and shower!!!!

The service was great easy check in friendly staff. The room however was the handicapp room which we were ok with taking, bed was very uncomfortable, sink was clogged , the shower holder was broken water went from the shower area all to the whole restroom. It worked for 1 night to sleep and shower!!!
