If the internet was working and there wasn’t all the flies in the downstairs bathroom it would have been great.

We had a group of teenage boys and parents for the weekend, skiiny at Gore Mountain. The house was large enough to fit all of us and provided everything we needed. Glenda was a great communicator and we felt at home at the property. Plus Gore was only 25 minutes away. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

We found everything to be as listed in the description. It was buggy outside but that is to be expected in the Adirondacks at the end of July.

Great house, very rustic & definitely very comfortable. The weather was cool for our stay, and the house offered a great feeling of warmth & relaxation. Very quiet. Recommend for anyone looking for some solitude, but just a short drive from Lake George.

We were 15 people who were celebrating our parents 80th.
We did a scavenger hunt in Lake George, had a birthday bbq with other local family. We did some putt putt and lots of swimming in the pool, can jam and spike ball.
We also cruised around looking for swimming holes.

We just got back from our annual family vacation. We had 13 adults and 5 kids and we had a great time .. We had space for everybody and then some .. We were all able to fit in the pool which was a blast .. At night we had fun trying to get our bonfire lit. Lake George was a quick ride away and it was such beautiful weather. Overall we had a wonderful trip.

The farm house was nice and clean
Lots of rooms.
We had an issue with the pool and was taking care within 15 minutes of contacting them.
On the minus side the mattresses was not very comfortable, one of the stairs case was very very steep and narrow
And the caveman was disappointing.
Overall good place

We enjoyed the roominess of the house and the multiple bedrooms. The swimming pool and pool table were hits. There was a plugged up sink, which we reported, and it was taken care of the same day. This was the 3rd time we used this house because of the number of bedrooms and pet policy. (We had 12 people in 3 generations.)

This location is rural and fantastic! Large property, very quiet. Service is very spotty, but once you get the wifi code it's manageable. Our only challenge was people coming at different times and communicating with them. Good thing the gps was spot on! The house is large enough to accommodate a huge group, but if you are someone that loves blankets I suggest you bring your own. No extra blankets, just what is on the bed. The beds are made up nicely and most of them are fairly comfortable. No issues from our group. There are a set of stairs that are a little unusual, but there is a front set which most people used. The barn is actually a barn. The floor boards move a little bit and the pool table was slightly off. We had a blast anyway. Such charm. Having the fire in the back was amazing. No light pollution so you could see the night sky nicely. There is a great little farm store down the road that sells and makes maple products.
Overall this was a great place. Just remember it is an older farmhouse with all the quirks of a farmhouse. I would definitely go back again. :)

I generally do not write reviews, but after reading that one negative review, I feel the need to respond. This home is a wonderful place to stay. We are a 4 generation family and had an amazing long weekend together. The home is clean and very comfortable. Everywhere we turned there was something lovely to explore. The 5 children of all different ages had a great time being together. We are planning on returning this summer and now there will be 7 children (2 more additions this past year), as well as an extended family of parents, grandparents and even a great grandma (14 of us all together). We feel so fortunate to have found such a lovely place for all of us to be together and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

It was an awesome spot but the driveway is a shared road so in the parking directions this should be noted. We also got a noise complaint in the middle of the day because we were playing yard games. Though is was funny with a police officer showing up at a bachelorette so it made a story. Listing should note there are 2 other properties on the 70 acres. Bed mattresses could be updated. The listing should note the pool table area is in a separate barn. Overall, a great experience and lovely weekend!

It is a beautiful setting outside with the exception of an old boat and burnt out camper out back. The family had a good time playing in the snow, building forts and a snowman. Unfortunately, inside, dust was in many places but worst was mouse droppings in pots and pans, utensils and dishes, lots of dead flies in ceiling lights, broken window blinds and black mold in bathtubs and behind the toilets. Back stairway light didn't work. Washer/dryer was out of order. A newer washer was placed under a stairwell where we needed to hook up the water and replace leaking hoses. The dryer was on an outside back porch (winter time). Some outlets need replacing. One closet the back wall was wet from a leaky roof making one blanket wet. Beds could be upgraded. The hot water in the main floor bathroom sink would not turn off completely and there is an extra sink in the dinning area that kept dripping the whole time, we texted the owner and with no repair by the owner. A pool table is a good place for a “man cave” however, the bumpers on all sides are broken so when trying to play, the balls go up and over the edge. How about broken boards in the wall, near the floor. The owner stated that she was also having problems with her phone.

My family choose this property because we were looking for a private quiet place. The property is listed as a 200 year old farmhouse on 70 acres of private land. When we arrived we found a single key in the middle of the table with no phone numbers of anyone we could contact. At first sight it seemed quaint. We were looking forward to enjoying the pool & the mancave which was listed as a favorite. The pool was clean. The mancave was unusable, pool table was in very bad shape with ripped felt and missing a pocket for the balls to go into but they put a bucket to catch the balls. The floor was in very bad shape where it sunk in spots enough to make the pool table unusable. The mowed part of the property had broken water bottles, garbage in the fire pit from past renters. We found dirty underwear near the pool among other debris. The house was very dusty. We had a family member in our small group who is a fireman & he checked all smoke detectors. Some were without batteries & some not hooked up. My husband and I took the upstairs bedroom which was bigger than the other bedrooms with a couch so we could relax and read in the evening. The couch was full of pet hair and the comforter we had to put away because it had spots on it. We had to go out and buy mouse traps due to the fact that our first dinner there we were greeted by a mouse that fell onto the stove during the day. We also had a rather cold night and the temperature reached 59 degrees in the house. No HEAT. You would think that a advertised private setting would be private; not so, there are two rather rundown trailers very close to the house & they share your driveway. The final straw; looked forward to having a fire with the kids during the week. We tried 2 times and on both occasions we had to go in the house because there were loose dogs that came over and scared the kids. The owner claims she doesn't know who they belong to but we saw 2 of them in one of the trailers and the large dog at the other trailer. So if your looking for that private well maintained place to stay this wouldn't be for you. Also the pictures in the advertisement are from June of 2013. We reached out to the owner and felt we deserved a partial refund and the owner replied with NO REFUND of any sort. Lots of money spent for the week and walked away feeling like we got ripped off. Will not return to this property or any of their other properties.
