"My family and I spent three nights on the property upon arriving in Ireland. After spending time in Dublin, we loved getting out into the countryside. It was a great location for visiting Wicklow Mountains National Park! We had great meals in Baltinglass as well. The owners were very kind and made every process very simple! The house had plenty of space for a multigenerational family, though it's a drive from Dublin, but close enough to the red Luas line to use the park and ride. Kilkea Castle

10/10 Excellent

"Our stay at the castle could not have been nicer from the moment we arrived and met Seamus, who welcomed us and helped us bring our bags in, we knew we were in for a great stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and couldn't have been nicer. The castle itself is in remarkable condition and they seem to have paid great attention to all of the little details. I cannot say enough great things about the grounds and the wonderful work the gardeners and groundskeepers do at Kilkia Castle. While walking the grounds, the words immaculate and breathtaking were said more than once by members of our family,. Our room was as nice as the rest of the castle. We stayed in the Lady Emmaline (I hope I got that name right) room and we found it to be very comfortable and cozy and were surprised by how large the room was. We hope to return in the future. Next time I may bring my golf clubs and play on the immaculate course that surrounds the grounds. Overall I would say it is an unforgettable stay."
