Although the host, Francisco, was very kind, he only communicated through WhatsApp, and we didn't know where to meet him until the last minute for check-in. It turned out some of his messages went to my junk email, so communication was difficult. The air conditioning and access to a washer were great, but the bathroom had a strong sewage smell, all of the mattresses were old with springs poking you, and the shower only stayed warm for a few minutes. The property was also farther from the main square than expected, with at least three sets of stairs to climb. Atrani is a convenient location—about a 10–15-minute walk or a 5-minute bus ride to Amalfi, but it's a much sleepier town and wasn't as clean or well-maintained as I expected (they need to repair some stucco, add fresh paint, and sweep/pick up trash in the streets). Next time, I'd spend a little more and stay in Amalfi Town instead.

Francesco was awesome! Made the whole check in and check out process so smooth. Apartment is in an excellent location and has everything you need. Major perk was being able to do our washing and hang out on the line on the balcony. Air con was also great 😀 5 stars!

Francesco was amazing! So friendly and helpful! We had an issue with a tour we booked and he was very attentive to help us solve it. He also recommended, Le Palme, a restaurant right in Atrani that was so great! We went 3 out of the 4 nights when we were there. The apartment had everything we needed. I loved being able to do laundry and hang it outside. Atrani is such a cute town away from the busy crowds and has a lovely beach! It’s only about a 10-15min walk to Amalfi either through the tunnel or along the water. We would definitely stay here again and we are missing Atrani already!

Atrani has a great location- 10 minutes by walking from Amalfi, a hub where you can catch ferries, buses, rent water sports or scooters, enjoy shopping and more, but quieter than Amalfi which was an ideal option for us. Restaurants in Atrani offer authentic, delicious Italian food. The apartment is spacious and clean. There are a few steps to the apartment but we treated that as our daily work out. The property manager was very helpful and always accessible. We really enjoyed our stay

Plus: Francesco is a nice guy. Carried one of our bags. Apartment was kind of clean, but cobwebs. A good restaurant recommendation in Le Palme. Minus: weird check in / out process - had to meet him instead of a cypher lock. A very poor bed (hard) and no mattress topper, even after asking. We made do by grabbing twin bed mattresses (cigarette holes, tears) and putting on top, but still below average. Francesco only uses WhatsApp - we called when we came to check in but he did not pick up. Collected room taxes ahead of time, which seemed odd, but after we were there 1 night it may have been in the event we left after that. Needed shampoo and paper towels. No couch. Two extra single beds (see above). Pretty spartan.

Das Appeartment befindet sich nur ein paar Gehminuten von Amalfi in einem wunderschönen Nebenort mit allem was das Herz begehrt. The apartment is in a great location! We aren't the fittest, but steps were fine. Only a few minutes to the square and beach, then 10 mins through the pedestrian tunnel to Amalfi.Apartment is well equipped - a mattress topper would be good for main bedroom. That was only thing. Good kitchen area, great shower (warm/good pressure). Little balcony to sit with beautiful views of the village.Francesco is the best host - in touch if we needed anything at all. He is a lovely, special guy.We can't wait to stay again.

Great location

The location of this apartment is great. Atrani is quieter than Amalfi, yet still close. There were stairs, but not too many and Francesco helped us with our luggage. Francesco was friendly and responsive. The view from the balcony was beautiful (I think even better than a water view, it was a lovely view of the town and mountain). The apartment was clean. The wifi worked adequately. A few extra details (e.g., mattress toppers, somewhere to comfortably sit, a wider variety of cookware) would have made it a bit more comfortable and homey, but honestly, we spent most of our time outside, so not a big deal.

Ci siamo stati dal 5 all'8 maggio. Appartamento spazioso, con tutti gli accessori ( climatizzatori, lavatrice, cucina ad induzione, ecc. ). Vista sul centro storico con vista sul Santuario di Santa Maria del Bando e Grotta di Masaniello. Ad attenderci c'era Francesco ( persona gentilissima e cortese, sempre pronto a dare una mano e suggerimenti ), il quale ci ha accompagnato alla struttura. Wonderful stay

Francesco was super helpful in meeting with us and helping with luggage. His apartment was just as described and he was always available to help with any questions about the apartment and Atrani. We enjoyed the quiet of this charming town over the bustle of Amalfi. Yet it was easily walkable to access all the buses and ferries of Amalfi.

Francesco was a fantastic host. He met us at a restaurant near the property and took us over and showed us around. He answered many questions about the local area and gave us advice about where to eat and other local recommendations. The house was quite big and was a little drafty and go cold at night even with the heaters. But other than that a fantastic place in an ideal location.
