Although the host, Francisco, was very kind, he only communicated through WhatsApp, and we didn't know where to meet him until the last minute for check-in. It turned out some of his messages went to my junk email, so communication was difficult.
The air conditioning and access to a washer were great, but the bathroom had a strong sewage smell, all of the mattresses were old with springs poking you, and the shower only stayed warm for a few minutes.
The property was also farther from the main square than expected, with at least three sets of stairs to climb. Atrani is a convenient location—about a 10–15-minute walk or a 5-minute bus ride to Amalfi, but it's a much sleepier town and wasn't as clean or well-maintained as I expected (they need to repair some stucco, add fresh paint, and sweep/pick up trash in the streets). Next time, I'd spend a little more and stay in Amalfi Town instead.
