What a beautiful boutique hotel in gorgeous Ponsonby. Staff were welcoming and friendly, super helpful, lovely breakfast and complimentary wine and canapés. Only wish we could have stayed longer than one night!!!

The hotel is in an amazing location! Tons of great shops and restaurants within close walking distance. Small hotel with only a few suites which made it very private and quiet. The breakfast was incredible!

Hotel Fitzroy is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable and the staff are very warm and welcoming. It is perfectly situated close to Ponsonby Road which has such great dining and shopping with so much personality. The perfect place to stay in Auckland.

Hotel Fitzroy is an AMAZING villa in the Ponsonby/Grey Lynn area. Unbelievable customer service, very generous happy hour and breakfast, great library, lounge and porches. Very modern top rate architecture and furnishings. Super friendly vibes and 5 star all the way.

This is a really interesting hotel - from the outside it looks like you are staying in a beautifully restored quaint local home with a gorgeous frontage. When you walk inside you realize it has been gloriously renovated - in a much more modern vibe. The art is beautiful, the rooms are perfect, the tiny library (with your complimentary wine) is so relaxing. We felt very at home and the staff were exceptional. Oh and breakfast was delicious on the porch.

Adorable boutique hotel very very walkable to the Grey Lynn area in Auckland, which is full of great restaurants and shops. Room was very comfortable, even for a fussy American who likes air conditioning a great deal. Happy hour reception in the library and really good breakfast in the room were such perfect extras. And the staff was amazing with helping with bags, recommendations, etc.

Wonderful boutique hotel with great amenities and personal service, in a beautiful neighborhood. Their breakfast is 5 star and can be enjoyed on a heated balcony. A short ride to center city and great walkable dining and shopping choices. A captivating alternative to large and impersonal hotels. So thrilled we found it, and hoping you do the same.

Unique boutique hotel

Overall an outstanding stay. Convenient location with lots of neighborhood shops and restaurants but a quick cab ride to downtown. Probably he most attentive service I have ever experienced in a hotel. And the breakfasts served in your room or on the small patio are excellent. Downside are tiny rooms (ours was smaller than an inside cabin on a cruise ship) plus we were put into an accessible room so the bathroom was like camping out.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great neighborhood. Just far enough from city center (you can still walk downtown and to the harbor), that you can relax. Great restaurants and shopping right there. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms on the small side but love the high ceilings. The rooms had everything you need. Breakfasts were amazing!

The hotel was great! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The daily happy hour was a great way to get to know the other guests at the hotel. The daily breakfast was filling and great quality as well. The rooms were as advertised. Modern, clean, and accessible. While slightly small in size, they were perfect for our trip to Auckland.
