The Apollo on Nelson

The Apollo is extremely well positioned ,we had views of the harbour bridge from the balcony and the Sky Tower from the bedroom. Fantastic! The apartment itself was well laid out and immaculate, very spacious. Check in was efficient and the staff were very pleasant and helpful ,especially when we checked out and required a taxi. Would highly recommend this hotel /serviced apartments to anyone staying in Auckland.

Disappointed not like pictures

Bed was comfortable. Shower had geout mould that was able to be removed easily. There were cracks in the lining of bath edges and the cupboards in bathroom and kitchen had residue from goodness knows what but it came off easy with a tissue. Plenty of extras but i wouldnt stay again

The room was lovely, tidy and clean. My only real complaint would be that only a small amount of milk was supplied in the fridge, 6x15ml pottles, i could barely make 2 coffees. Other than that it was great!

It is not a 24 hour desk and so when you come in on an early flight there is nonwhere to stash your bags until checknin. That said. Agmed, the manager was incredibly flexible and once the desk openes got us right into our room. So the issue is small and a nicety. The apartment has a fantastic view and central to everything. If parking is required it is fair and located underground. Fantastic spot.

Ok stay, but great friendly service

Check in was awful, no one was there as it was past business hours. The intercom to check in went in and out and was difficult to understand the agent in the other end. There is no parking, making check in even more difficult, not even a single temporary spot. You are literally at the mercy of the road and other drivers. After checking in, we received a key with a key card, where we were able to finally drive into a small parking garage (though we did not park overnight). The hotel had issues with the room we booked, so they ended up giving us a different room which was not as expected. However, the agent on call was extremely nice and provided accommodations to make up for the loss. The view is pretty good from the hotel (you can see the skytower from the balcony). And it's a quick (kind of lengthy) walk from the viaduct.

Good basecamp for exploring Auckland

A very convenient centtrally located base for exploring Auckland, a couple of blocks from the Sky Tower and a 15-minute walk to the quays. In what has become a very expensive country, a serviced apartment is a well-priced practical alternativei to over-priced full-service hotels. Our apartment at the Apollo was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The only negatives were (1) bed is double (4'6") not queen size (5') and (2) WiFi quality was variable - they have a number of networks and I often lost a connection and had to try one of their other lines. This needs upgrading. All else was very satisfactory. Reception staff helpful when asking for advice.

Good value for money and close to CBD. We were happy but the traffic on Nelson Street was a bit noisy throughout the night. Good bed made a difference though. Good shower and bathroom. We were happy there.
