All hotels was fully booked in Pau, found this nice hotel in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Stayed for 5 nights. Basic but very clean rooms, good wi-fi and work desk allowed for effective work at the hotel.

What a wonderful place! This chateau has been lovingly restored back to its former glory by the current owners with modern elements and artwork incorporated. We had one of the largest rooms in the house and could only marvel at the details the owners had thought of in the restoration. The room was extremely comfortable lacking nothing. Breakfast was scrumptious and we had the opportunity to meet other guests. The owners were extremely attentive and helpful in every way. There was an option to...

Lovely house on the side of the hill. Just three rooms. We were very well fed and very well taken care of by the owner and her family. Cozy chalet, very nicely renovated and perfectly equipped, with beautiful restaurant / reception area - we visited in the winter but would also love to see it in the summer! Great for families or groups of friends. Well situated.

The host, Anne, takes loving care of her guests….Individually cooked breakfast, assistance with dinner reservations, recommendations of local sites to see, and a truly delightful person! Don’t doubt her suggestions — we thoroughly enjoyed everything she encouraged us to try or do!

I didn’t speak a word of French but they did their best to communicate in English and they did a great job. Garden and City has lots of common spaces to hang around after a hard day of hiking. Most lodgings in Cauterets do not have common spaces. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. There is an in-house laundromat. Located in the...
